I don't know Max well enough to make a judgement as to whether those are his own words or not, so I'll take it at face value that he wrote the letter.
Of course we all want to see a very much improved performance on Saturday, however, I see it as a positive move to write this apology to the fans in the interim. Good to see that he does take the responsibility of being a Captain seriously, let's hope he can transfer some of that to his persona on the pitch

Someone on Twitter said to me the other day about what I expected from the club after tuesday, maybe a refund on our matchday pass. I said I wanted an apology from our manager, our captain and club captain as well as our DOF and also some commitment that they will turn it around. I guess we kind of have one here but it would have been nice if it was from the horse mouth in front of a camera. I also expect Tis to apologise in some way too if his ego will allow and he can pull himself away from writing his next daily Mail column. Of course I would prefer it if he was sacked but I’ll take an apology for starters. Good luck getting an apology from Tisdale. The bloke can do no wrong in his own eyes. He's more likely to say he predicted a 6-1 defeat before kick off.

I like to back a team that gets a thrashing like we did in their next game. Many times you will see a positive reaction and an unexpected win at good odds.Don’t make me waste my money Max and co,get your chins off the floor and steam into those Fleetwood ranks sharpish.

🙄 do your talking on the pitch please Max, by the time your studs hit the grass, we’ve already paid. Would be very different if you brought me the bill at the end of the game. Rooting for you so show me you care ffs

Well if you're including that lot as culpable then I'm surprised you didn't add Wael too. 🤔 If I thought he was culpable for the utterly inept performance in Accrington from his home in Jordan then I would have done. I don’t directly blame Starnes for that performance either ... The ones I do blame are the ones I have mentioned. I do blame Wael for not sacking him on Tuesday however and if i thought for one minute that I would get an answer as to why he hasn’t just yet, I would ask him. But I see little point in doing that when he’s likely well aware that 50% of the posters on him want him gone anyway (according to the poll) and I’m one of them. What's the point in Wael sacking Tisdale, he'll only appoint another cheap option, at some point he's got to stop sacking/supporting managers and hope with time and support one of them can do what Coleman has achieved at Accrington. If Coleman had been Rovers manager he would have been sacked years ago and Accrington would probably now be back playing non league.

You make it sound like we sack someone every week.

Fair play to him for making the effort to do this, obviously it doesn’t mean much without showing a big response on the pitch, but he can only do that on Saturday afternoon now. He’s earned my silence in regards to criticism until he plays the next game

It will be Gaschat fact soon that this letter was a fake.
Personally I'm prepared to take it at face value. The world is sh** enough at the moment without conspiracy theories about a third division football club. However unless it's backed up on Saturday and beyond it's just words.

We were approached by Mansfield in the days leading up to that game where we sat 4th in the league. No manager at any club who said the things GC did on the radio that evening would expect to keep their job on monday morning.

...just need to see the actions now and a significantly improved performance (shouldn’t be hard!) where every player scores at least a 7 or above in our player ratings!
Or every player scores 7!

It’s clear to me Max didn’t write this. For me that’s ok, I won’t be checking up on his English GCSE results anytime soon. It’s the way PR works.
What’s most worrying for me, is the fact Mr TDale hasn’t done the same as the Max letter, and unless I’m mistaken hasn’t yet taken responsibility for the Accy result, including providing any form of an apology.
He’s sitting comfortably in the middle of a group of players that he hasn’t recruited, and a set of results that aren’t getting pinned to the choices he makes. I’m concerned that he genuinely thinks this isn’t his fault and continually cites the players not doing the basic things well. That is in the emergency coaching manual, page 1, paragraph 1. How to stop the rot. The coaching needs to improve, and quickly. Certain players look confused.
Before certain factions start asking if I have a problem with him, I just have a set a basic (thanks Mr TDale you use it a lot, so will I) expectations about how an experienced manager should hold themselves, lead their players, and operate in a match setting - including setting up their teams.
