To be fair I’m not a slag everyone off type of fella! I have the utmost respect for Wael and desperately want it to succeed for him (and us fans of course!!) I had a whinge about Ehmer at Accrington but he came out and apologised. I never slagged off BG and really thought the concept was a food one. Didnt want Tisdale and he was even worse than I thought he would be but other than that fully behind the team and management 👍 Wasn’t thinking specifically you mate - just lately there has been constant moaning about this that or the other and some forum users tend to just move from one target onto another.... like I said, some of the above probably deserve some level of criticism but quite often it’s just incessant! hopefully we’ll all get better times soon and we’ll start to see some positivity return! UTG! No worries and didn’t take it personally 👍 I do know what you mean about the moaning, I think a lot of the time it is the emotion of it all and said in the heat of the moment. We’re all craving even a bit of averagishness (a new word!). We’ll take a small step towards a bit of success too if that on offer.....😬

I think a lot of it is pent up stress and emotion. You probably don’t realise how therapeutic it is watching 90 minutes of live football

I hope tonight’s win justifies Tommy’s position at the club. He’s been slated recently but he’s proven tonight what an absolute fraud Tisdale was and how inept and clueless he proved himself to be.
There were no preemptive excuses, no fancy wordy ramble pre match. No stupid tactics or formations. but set up to play simple football, with solid tactics and people in their right positions.
These players when coached properly and trained well can get us out.
Well done Tommy. Now onto the next.

Always liked Tommy.........🤭 This was my plan all along!! Fair play to to him though, best way to answer your critics and I’m delighted for Ayunga. He has all the attributes to be a top striker 👊

Don't know why we were looking at other managers anyway. Get on with it until the end of the season. Its not like recruitment can be done with a shut transfer market and we don't even know what league we will be in....
Keep us up an then everyone can have a good rethink....

Not proved anything apart from that we can win one game. I’m not after him proving anything personally, but I think we all know if we lost the next 3 the response would be very different on here.UTG

Well, one thing I think was proven tonight. The squad is good enough I think the squad is good enough, but tonight itself didn’t prove it, for me. Could have gone either way and Pompey didn’t play very well. I am a very happy Gashead, though! Hopefully we will go on from here.

Tonight's performance emphasises the need not to rush into a hasty appointment when TW could see us through this crisis. See how we get on against Gillingham and then re assess.

If Daly took his chances in the Oxford game the outcome may have been different the same with the Peterborough game although we earned a well deserved point. Coached properly? That’s an odd one considering. So who’s players are these exactly? Garners, Tisdales two or Widderingtons? And who is the next boss going to be? All calm on the western front/ behind the scenes I presume. Until the next time.

We were sharper, and we had better individual performances. It looked like a totally different team. Def didn’t miss Ehmer, I wonder if trying to fit him in did for both managers. I do agree this isn’t definitive, but we were far better tonight than I’ve seen us all season. They were no mugs.

Rightly a very smug post match interview. Would like to see him keep that up for a few games to help secure league safety and convince any suitors it’s not a mission impossible. We’re in the equivalent of a fire sale atm so not a good time to secure a decent manager. No rush though eh Tommy?

Thought that was a great interview. Clearly aware of some of the criticism he has been getting and is facing up to it. Even calls out Holloway for the BS article.
Also says "bookies seem to know what's going on" in relation to a new manager. So, unless that is sarcasm, it would suggest Barton?

Also, in fairness to Garner and Tisdale, would they have been allowed to build the team around a target man? There is something weird about assembling a team of apparently technically good players, two managers are brought in with a mandate to get them playing technically good football and then when the head of recruitment has a go he goes full Pulis. What does this mean for the “Rovers DNA?”

Very interesting interview.. TW referred several times to preparing players on a Thursday and giving them clear messages they are capable of understanding. The one thing I can read into this is that he thinks the two previous managers were over complicating things for the players
