Wael should pay for 3 sackings aye? Who should we appoint? See all of my other posts answering this question. They were 2 simple questions. Just require a yes or no and a name if you have one?

The common denominator in this awful mess is WAQ, who has made a succession of dreadful hires off the pitch. Immediately think of Hamer, Atkins, Cunnah, Dubey, Turner, Starnes, Widdrington, Garner, and Tisdale. All of them have cost him money and missed opportunities. Do agree, but I personally feel sorry for Wael. He’s forking out all of this cash and being taken for a ride. Almost like an elderly/naive person and the builders are convincing them to have loads of work done that they don’t need doing. Albeit I do understand the buck ultimately stops with him... maybe (hopefully) Barton is the man to snap him out of it. think barton telling it to him straight is what was needed. Too many around wael for some reason have agendas that serve no interest to the future of the club or owner.

Not really sure about your working there. You're saying Tisdale said his piece and therefore asked to be sacked, whereas Barton said his but it's ok because we don't disagree (even though no one seemed to disagree with Tisdale). Also JB did single out a specific player, Ehmer. Why is JB hoping for a reaction but Tisdale asking to be sacked, why not the other way round? You started off saying damned if you do, damned if you don't, but you're damning Tisdale, but not Barton. Barton outburst not on the back of 6-1 hammering and probably the worst display I have seen watching Rovers ever. What would you rather Barton come out and say. It's OK, the players are trying their best. Amazing that you are accepting that the players are awful and believe it's all JB fault. Well done to him for not being soft touch like our players for the season, BG brought them in, they got Tisdale sacked and he admitted he wasn't up to the job. What do you JB to say there is nothing he can do with them himself, he saying the clubs needs change and he 100% correct. Let's say Joey Barton gets sacked, which I don't believe he will. Who are you appointing then? You're just making stuff up now. I never said any of that. All I'm saying is what's wrong with treating what PT and JB say the same. You're condemning PT for saying stuff and then backing JB for saying similar stuff, and then getting mad at me for wanting JB gone simply for pointing it out. As far as I can glean from your posts, PT should shut up and JB is a hero for not shutting up, and if I support PT for speaking out then it must be coz I want JB sacked, or something.

How can anyone read that and not agree with most of what he said.. Because people have their heads firmly in the sand. Same brigade who were crying when there was talk about a new stadium and championship football. Some fans love being ‘rag bag’ rovers and don’t want anything to change. This is so true. JB has challenged the club to change its culture and be more professional the way its run. If he means off the pitch he is right. What is going on with the Stadium - though I doubt he is referring to that, what is Starnes up to, rarely get any comms, surely TW decision making and ability to spot talented footballers has to be queationned. If he means on the pitch he is right. The performances for entire season and for a good few months until we were saved by the season ending early, have been nothing short of pathetic for most part. There are fans that accept it and I've said it before just like having their day out on a Saturday, doesn't matter we are terrible. Next thing you know standards have slipped so far because they have not been challenged there will be the same people on here embarrassingly singing "We want our Rovers back".

Havent seen many positive posts from you about the club. Get rid of a managerial nobody brilliant and bring in who,yes that's right another managerial nobody with no league 1 experience and says yes sir no sir three bags full sir. JB remarks are exactly what is needed and what alot of people already think and it looks like there are going to be some notable casualties in the summer as Wael will back Barton regardless of what happens this season. One question for you if Barton is relieved of his duties at the end of the season who do bring in to sort the mess out or do we continue along the same path and end up getting relegated to the conference which I would imagine would finish our beloved club off once and for all. Where are my negative posts about the club? Post one here in reply to this. Go on. Find one now and post it here. As for the rest of it. We have an established history of success based on not bringing in outsiders. It's easy to believe what the latest passer by says when they're under pressure to perform and believe it. Much more balanced to look at the fact we were flying in 4th in December 2019 with the same staff behind the scenes at the club. I didn't say any negative posts I said positive so i wont bother looking back through any of your posts thanks. So out of the people here who would you put in charge as there is no-one that is capable at present. You keep going on about being 4th but the manager walked out on us. Yes he came from within but also had plenty of experience and was in the ideal place to step up. I can't think of anyone in our system that could step up or want to step up and do the job. We keep appointing from within but where has that got us in reality, yes that's right a league one club and we haven't progressed past that level since the early 90s. Maybe just maybe to step up to the next level we need to step out of our comfort zone and go with an outsider and back them.

If there was a single piece of evidence, I mean literally a single piece - any evidence at all, that Joey Barton was going to turn the club into a high flying established championship club then I'd be inclined to accept this "he needs to sort the club from top to bottom" bullshit. But there isn't. Not one single thing that indicates we should entrust Joey Barton to do anything at all. Not here. Not at Fleetwood. Not anywhere else. So you can bang on and on about how someone who has been in football management for, what, three seasons? being the person to completely change an established club but that doesn't change the fact that there's literally nothing to indicate he even knows the first thing about running the business of a football club. Nothing. You just want it to be true because that's the current fixation of a few fans. If he was Neil Warnock or Harry Redknapp or even Steve Bruce I might be give it a second's consideration. But he isn't. So I won't.

Hanlon is a wide player not a striker, it’s all hypothetical like your Shockley quote but what makes you think all these decent strikers would join this circus? You say Tisdale didn’t do his homework but what makes you think Barton did especially considering his barking mad outburst at this crucial stage of the season? I would say he certainly didn’t and he is getting lower in my estimations after each game especially as he takes no blame and rests it solely on the shoulders of others. But like you say, fail to prepare, prepare to fail Mr Barton. Saying all that, if our goal wasn’t wrongly ruled out and that needless free kick given away leading to their goal Barton would not have said what he did. Tisdale stated after 2 weeks he still didn't know the names of all the players that is unbelievable. JB had watched videos of us and knew alot about the club even before he took his 1st training session. I am certain if JB was in charge in January we would have at least one new striker and a CB in place now and possibly one or two other players to add some experience. JB was a prepared as any decent manager would be,what he has found after he got here is a different matter. Have you ever heard the phrase ‘ tongue in cheek’ as a reference to a subject? That’s how I took Tisdale comment but if you want a bloke to fail before he has even started then you will always see the dark side of any comment. Barton was not prepared as well as you are making out, that much is clear by his deflection tactics in the press as he would’ve come out with what he did after the Swindon game before Rovers kicked a ball in his first match if that was the case, also if he watched so may videos of our games how come it’s taken him nine games to suss certain players out?

Interesting aout what people want, and how some are happy just to be in this position hoping City will come down. Me? New ground, Championship, and big crowds. Thats it, however I fear this wont be in my lifetime. Certainly with Starnes and Widdrington at the club

Is that because there is noone so instead take the subject back to Barton. You have no idea what he can do what he can't do and it's all pure speculation, maybe he can sort out where we are going wrong maybe he can't but I would more inclined to listen to someone who has played the game at the highest level for a number of years and believe he knows what he is talking about over a poster on Gaschat.

It doesn't matter who I would have appointed that's totally irrelevant to the point at hand and naming literally anyone would just give you the opportunity to deflect from the fact you're proposing that someone with zero knowledge of running a football club be given carte blanche just because he's played premiership football. It's also irrelevant that he knows more about football than someone on Gaschat- Gaschat doesn't run the football club. What's important is whether he knows more than someone with experience of running a football club. You've offered nothing to back up why it would be a good idea because there is nothing.

Anyone else getting the impression that the inevitable split in the fan base caused by hiring JB is beginning to become evermore apparent.... Hardly surprising as he hasn't actually done anything of note.... Unless I've missed something....

JB joined a basket case of a club dragged down by two incompetent managers. Hopefully he will take on the bullshit establishment and change the lack lustre attitude of people running it. It needs a total revamp-top to bottom including players. He will stay despite the negative comments of the unblemished on this forum. Many gas heads will back him as we are all fed up being the no hopers of Bristol. Time to give him total support and look forward to next season even if its in the Basement League
