He isn’t fit to lace GC’s boots, never played the game, never will get another Managers job. Possibly, but at least he conducted himself in the right way and showed respect to the club. I wish BG all the best for the future, but couldn’t care less what happens to angry Graham, who is also unlikely to get another managers job. It seems unlikely you'll ever have any interest in any Rovers manager other than BG, given that virtually all your posts are BG related.

Well his Wikipedia page under the Bristol Rovers section is certainly bigging him up....wonder who did the current edits? 2 sentences in it are a bit conflicting ; Similarly, on 25 October 2020 David Tutonda enthused about his Manager stating "he's a phenomenal person. He's a top, top coach, his attention to detail is unreal and he sees things that we don't see. He's a class act all around". [22] On 14 November 2020, Garner was relieved of his duties with the club following a 4–1 home defeat to Fleetwood Town. Love the “he sees things that we don’t see”. Garner certainly did that. His reading of the game was not unlike Stevie Wonder’s. He had no personality, no ability to think on his feet, and no authority. We were slow, unfit and predictable. He played with fire and got badly burnt. A boy in a man’s world. Meanwhile his apologists come on here (only recently, strangely) and quote figures and percentages that do more damage to any reputation he had left.

Strangely (or not) neither of them compare Coughlan and Garners PPG/Win % with the same players. hmm..

Well based on this season Coughlan got 5 points in 9 games in league 2 with a team with one of the best budgets in the league. Garner got 12 points in 11 games In league 1 with an average Budget.

Much fairer to compare Garners Rovers record with the same players Coughlan left him with.

Some more interesting comments made by JB after yesterday's game: "For me, it all stops with me, I’m the manager but the only thing is that I need my players. Any players I know train correctly, any players I know is fit when the physio says they’re fit, I don’t have that at this moment in time and I’ve never known a football club like it. I’ve never known anything like this in my whole time in professional sport." I guess tomorrow's DM will be suggesting that our physio's are now taking legal advice, we sound a right basket case of a club, so where does the buck stop, Widdrington or Starnes? I couldn’t work out that comment - is a dig at our physios or a dig at players saying they’re not fit when the medical team say they are??

I took it as maybe certain players using 'injury' to get out of playing. Wouldn't surprise me with this group to be honest.

I did wonder about Ehmer with his shoulder and whether that’s why Barton was so fierce in his criticism of him. Crap if true, especially when we’ve had players like Nicholson, Hanlan and Grant playing through injuries to help the cause.

Must be fairly significant if that is the case and I think he has played quite a bit with it so I think you might be being a bit unfair. Doesn’t necessarily excuse his poor performances though!

Maybe - just that they initially said it would wait until the end of the season but then he’s on the bench every week, which seemed strange. That’s what I don’t like about a lot of these Barton rants, he’s accusing players and staff of certain things without naming them and that leads to people trying to second guess who is it. Could lead to some really unfair opinions being formed.

Ehmer's not appeared on the team sheet since it was suggested that he now needed an operation, but I guess only a genuine Gashead would know that was the case, not just a member of Garner's PR team. As far as naming players, if he did that then he would definitely leave the club open to legal action.

It’s like having a stalker, I keep coming home expecting to find uncle Alberts pants boiling in a pot.
