Think its more like what he hasn't done, clearing out the deadwood off the pitch. This squad has serious flaws but the past management in the dug out and the boardroom have let him and us down. More heads need to roll I am afraid. Whoever decision it was to not sign a striker, if they are still at the club, need to take a lot of responsibility for this. It has been a shambles, Hanlan started season OK, Ayunga has had 1 good game all season and Daly never gets on the pitch long enough. Just not good enough up front. Whatever league we are in next season we need at least 2 good strikers through the door. It's pointless looking for scapegoats in this shambles. The buck stops at the top they need to take responsibility because it is their decision making that has caused this.

Not over yet, hope the players still believe they can escape and do not give up, it just takes one set of results to go our way( like they did on Donny day)and we will be back in the race! up the Rovers!

Don’t forget fellow gasheads after we beat Portsmouth 3-1 Mr Widdrington with that smug look on his face came out and said I told you so we have got enough in the building I’m not Widdrington’s biggest fan, but based on the 3 games he’s overseen it looked like we did have enough in the building. Unfortunately Tisdale and now Barton haven’t been able to get the same out of those players as Garner and Widdrington could. These are players mainly brought in by TW and BG, if the players were going to play for anyone, it would be them. Unfortunately you have to have some quality to succeed and many of their signings have been found lacking.

He's wasted £25m+ of his family's money and just taken us back to where he started. How much more has he got left to spend before he decides he's had enough? Let’s stay respectful then. Th man has put a lot into our club, he’s hurting just as much as us , if not more. In defence of topper he like some of us are questioning : how much more is this good man prepared to spend ?. He's blown £25 mil on a 3rd division side who seems like they are back in 4 . Its a good question . Will he continue next season in light of the demise of salary caps and spend big ?. He will have the JCH money and possible sell on to justify a good budget . I'm sure he never ever thought a possible championship push will end up in the basement . The people around him should apologise not Wael .

Clearly sacking the man best placed to get the most out of these players 11 games into the season has proven to be a disastrous decision.

The saddest thing about this mess, and possibly the most infuriating, is that there will still be a couple of psycho’s trying to defend that f**king clown Garner and minimise or gloss over his rôle in all this. As far as I am concerned he is the absolute architect of our downfall this season, and I hope he never shows his face anywhere near Bristol again. Stacking shelves in Tesco would be beyond that loser’s capabilities . . . And while we’re at it, that arrogant twat Widdrington needs to have some balls and own up to his part in this shambles too. I even defended him a few times in previous posts, until I saw that interview where he was basically enveloped in a cloud of smug and stated several times that the players were easily good enough to keep us up, etc. No Tommy, they f**king well aren’t . . .

well you can unfix it, I don't blame Barton for any of this I don't blame Barton for how bad we are, but teams that change managers 2 or 3 times in a season I would suggest almost always fail in the end. You can't keep chopping and changing and expect the team to pull through. Too many bad decisions, too many mixed signals too much uncertainty. It's been a complete and utter clusterf**k. Yeah totally , big clubs with money to burn like Chelsea for example go through managers quickly and still do well and they only go through a new manager every 1-2 seasons. We’ve been through 3 this year !! and that combined with a mid table budget at best , a head of recruitment who it appears hasn’t a clue and an owner who as likeable a bloke as he is doesn’t seem to really know that he’s doing this season is a shambles and if we don’t go down then I reckon hell with freeze over and pigs will fly.

If last season had been completed under garner we would have played this season in div2 so it was only a stay of execution.the project under cone boy would have got us to the basement in the end anyway.

Honestly I think we have to collect minimum of 12 out of 15 points to stay up.
Tbh if both Widdrington AND Starnes are employed by the club when we start L2 next season, I’m not sure I’ll bother to go.
If you change nothing, nothing changes.

Ridiculous comment. We had 11 games to go and probably had enough points to be safe already, a couple more would have definitely done it. Garners record with Coughlan’s cloggers was rubbish but there’s no way we were going down.

I think if you took all is results and programmed them in a computer it will back up your statement. Even worst he blew 95% of the budget leaving nothing for January .

There has been little to look forward to for decades. I am sick and tired of the boardroom, useless managers and broken promises. As for a new stadium, maybe 50 years hence!! Such loyal supporters have to put up with utter crap decade upon decade. Very dejected fan. They ought to pay the fans to watch next season.

Conversely if last season had been completed I think the fool would have got himself the sack. Covid, and that last game against Sunderland, saved his bacon.

Well if there gonna charge 320 to stand up in the west and nearly 300 in the rest in division 4 . And Cardiff and other championship clubs are charging 245 for a seat. I can't see many rushing .. www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/tickets/seasontickets

I will. Cardiff could be £10 a seat but it won't be the gas. I must need my head examined.
