Clutching at straws here but if there were any IMO they were as follows….
Anderson. Thought he had a decent game and was our only standout player. He doesn’t look fully fit as he looked shattered towards the end but he was energetic and battled hard throughout. He looks skilful and direct and once up to speed will be the first name on the team sheet. Only criticism would be he lacked composure once he’d created his own few chances
Finley. I know he wasn’t great but even though there were misplaced passes and again another who clearly isn’t fit yet you can see he is a good player. He was our only central midfielder trying to get the ball down and looking to play the ball forward and find gaps and I think Hel be fantastic in a few weeks.
Luca hoole. I think this guy is a real prospect. He made some critical goal saving interventions yesterday. I did think a couple of times he looked like a deer in the headlights when on the ball but hopefully that will come with time and confidence. ( just watched lines goal back and he did lose him as well )
That’s it :-(

A few positives
Luca Hoole getting an opportunity again
Pleased Cam Hargreaves got a chance as well
Good that Lines is still going strong
Pleased for Daly getting an opportunity in the league again, thought he was hard done by
Oh, and hopefully if this level of performance continues we won’t have a nasty violent thug for a manager any more,

I actually thought there were a considerable number of positives and that the match wasn’t that bad. You can see flashes of the shape of things to come. But I couldn’t be bothered to argue this as it doesn’t fit with the forum and supporter narrative of everything being sh**.

Don’t want to be on here when we play really badly Such an air of inevitability about it all at the moment I really can’t see much light, poor attendance, poor performance, and now our Clint has seen his own light and got out when he can I don’t see a slow Pittman being our salvation either Need a morale boosting striker signed quickly I didn’t go yesterday and must admit I’m for the first time in 35 years not overly bothered. My son has found other things now he is growing into a teenager and nothing at the club is making me feel like I want to keep driving from Dorset and the tales about morons at away games, once my passion, means I’m not looking too hard at possible weekends away It won’t be long before this car crash meets it’s inevitable conclusion, can’t see JB being with us next year, he will implode, walk away or one of the court cases will leave Wael with no option All this cheap talk of guaranteed promotion reeks of a desperate man out of his depth Hope something reignites my desire to return, but positives? Really?

Was really impressed with the toilet facilities and the closing of most of them. Next week we may have a brick wall built we can use

Hard to find positives from yesterday Rovers huffed and puffed, but were always second best. Good to see Rodman and Nicholson on the pitch not at their best yet, but hopefully more to come from them. Good to hear the Blackthorn end in full voice just wish they had something to sing about. Good to see Lines again and congrats on his goal. Can’t think of anything else after a pretty grim display, hopefully just a bad day at the office and we’ll start to turn things round against Oldham. UTG

Just very difficult when you only create one shot on goal in 90 mins at home.

Good post - I was beginning to think it was just me, and perhaps I'd watched a totally different game to the majority on here.

Says the poster who started a post slagging off the treatment of his kids in the Thatcher's End, which so far has 11 Likes!! As far as positives on the pitch what were they, other than those listed in the OP, all I add is that Jaakola's still at the club. We're back to BG's era of never having any attempts on goal, surely fans can't see that as a positive?

Of course we were sh** that much was obvious and it was a poor decision not allowing kids to stand at the front of the terrace. Doesn’t mean a post trying to stay or find positive can’t also be posted alongside negatives.

It shows that he's an honest poster as he's highlighted something which wasn't working well yesterday - people don't have to be 100% positive/negative about everything.

Good post - I was beginning to think it was just me, and perhaps I'd watched a totally different game to the majority on here. I was thinking after the first half that we weren’t a million miles off being a squad who will do well this season. And I couldn’t understand what was being said after the other two games which unfortunately I couldn’t make. In the first half we were generating plenty and moving forward well. Harry Anderson caused plenty of trouble down the left. After 55 minutes we seemed to lose our grip on the game. We didn’t look fit enough and stopped generating chances. I think it’s a case of fitness, plugging a gap at LB and upfront. Cian Harries was a bit of a weak spot. We didn’t generate many shots on target but many attempts went a foot the wrong side of the the post or over it. I do wonder how many supporters peddling this line went to the match? We will come good I’m sure of it and then we will be flying.

Once coutts and Finley are playing in midfield it will allow the team to push forward 10 yards. That will make a massive difference to our play . grant sits on the toes of our defence too much and is one of the reasons the attack are isolated

Anderson, Hoole and Finley positives to me. Grant at times showing he will be great, with coutts and Finley alongside him that could be decent. Need fullbacks and obviously a striker or two.
