The future is often about Hope. I still have it. Some have lost it. I understand that. I’ve lost it myself a few times. Not today though. Well that's just because we haven't played anyone today. Just kidding Rich. I admire your optimism and read your upbeat posts with interest.

How many shots were in the second half when the game was dead? I can remember us missing quite a few chances in the first half. There keeper made a few saves, we missed a header from a few yards out and another chance from a few yards out, when the player slid in. Both teams were creating chances. We were all over the place at the back though.

Not sure why you think people ain't allowed to be positive. Those being positive have every right to be positive. Just like those, who some would call being negative, but I would actually class as showing realism, has every right to be too.
A win on Saturday would be great. We've only had 2 draws from JB's 23 games so far so I would take a draw right now if offered. But I have my opinion how it will go. That will be classed as negative. But i'm just being real. Hopefully though, those who are positive can be right on Saturday. If not, I think a fair few people need to stay off this place for 24 hours to gather their thoughts when the result wouldn't be so raw.

Oldie, I agree with you that it shouldn't require a hammering but sometimes it does. The problem with the Mansfield game was it could all be put down to an awful referee and bad luck to go down to 10 men and concede an 96th minute penalty. The Stevenage game it could be looked on that we were still 4 or 5 players short and when we had them back on Tuesday possibly it could be looked on that the corner had been turned. We can but hope now that Saturdays defeat was the rock bottom! Ahh so it was a tactical 4-1 dicking! I knew you'd find an excuse somewhere. Exeter beat Plymouth 4 0 early on 2 seasons ago. Plymouth went on to win promotion. We were so close to emulating that😂

Actually heavy defeats do matter. Apart from the chronic impact on morale, a dreadful goal difference has an impact on league position. Currently our goal difference of -5 is the joint worst in the league. We are currently conceding too many goals (10 in 4 games) and scoring very few (3 in 4 games). This is a replica of last season and that did not end well ..... I think you need to look at that those stats again

Scoring 3 and conceding 10 would be -7 goal difference. Conceded 8 instead. His point still stands though of course

The thing about being negative is that Joey has made a lot of people negative. Not just because of the relegation, or his extracurricular activities. It's because he's negative himself. One minute he's saying we'll definitely be promoted, and the next he's saying he has to junk many of his players, the club is run like a Sunday league side, and he's never seen anything like the Exeter display in all his life. As if he is a neutral bystander who thinks Bristol Rovers are a laughing stock. Which I suppose we are. Cheers Joey.

His main problem was that we ended last season with a ridiculous amount of players and even after clearing out about 15 we still have far too many players- a term I use loosely. In truth I think the only players JB really wanted would have been Annsi, Rodman, Nicholson,Martinez and Hanlan and I must say I probably agree with him. Even after Exeter I still believe that we have a squad good enough to push for promotion but it will be a rocky ride. This week will probably be his toughest week because it is not going to be easy to get rid of players that aren't good enough to even get in our squad!! UTG

Antonio Fargas, I did actually say this at the start of last season when Nicholson and Hanlan wereon fire and I thought that Westbrooke and Barratt would be the bees knees, How wrong was I.

Here's some proper stats. I'm tired of this fuzzy thinking and ridiculous straw clutching that is going on. We want hard facts, indisputable actuality. Here's a celebration from Saturday: What have we got. Jay, and number 20 and number 12. What could this mean, only one thing. J is for John, so John 20:12, which is a clear reference to the bible. If we look up John 20:12 we get "and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus’ body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot." This is a clear reference to football (heading and kicking, obviously). Who might play in white, Leeds, of course. But let's not get carried way. Shrewsbury Away kit was white when Leon Clarke was there and also the seldom seen Hearts of Midlothian away kit was white when Glen Whelan was there. This is a clear reference to the two prospective players training with us. These stats prove beyond any doubt, I think we can all agree, that our 'saviours' will be Glen Whelan and Leon Clarke. I've practically proven it through the use of stats. That sounds like one of those 3-2-1 riddles, l’ook at what you could have won’……. Probably only the over 40’s would know what I am going on about!!
