Went to bath city v chelmsford att 1103. Lost 1,2. sh** day all round then. Bath were asleep first 45 and didnt start the 2nd half much better. Fine margins overall and were not outplayed/disgraced in the end. Bath only started playing once ryan harley came on at 0,2, got one back late on, 5/10 mins longer and they would have got a draw. Never mind. Gas on the other hand, not surprised at all. The spiral continues. Why would we be interested in Bath on a match thread? chill out topper...

Wheels won’t come off after Coughlan exit - Starnes.

I do not suppose a point away at ten man Barrow is much to celebrate and it sounds like we were the ones hanging on a bit, it is interesting though that the ratings given so far by ,i assume, fans who were there , are not by any means as bad as one would think for such a perceived poor display. PS If the rumour re Ellis does turn out to be true, GREAT! not sure if he will drop down to 2 though, would be a handful in 2.

I was there. On the train home now. I thought we did well in the first half and were much the better team. But the second half was a poor display and we never looked like scoring until the raft of corners in the last five minutes. We didn’t get the ball into Pitman enough in the second half and once Nicholson went off we seemed bereft of ideas once we got the ball 30 yards from their goal when they had everyone behind the goal.
I liked our keeper, and the big chap Taylor. And Nicholson and Pitman.

Wheels won’t come off after Coughlan exit - Starnes. Lol! Was that Starnes or Starmer? But in the words of Hamer at least the landing lights are still on. I’ll get my coat when I finally find my way out of the lift at Sunderland.

Has there ever been a Matchday thread with fewer pages?
The apathy towards the club in it's current state is growing with every non-performance.

I think people on both sides of the JB debate just don't know what to say after this result. A draw pretty much means a stalemate with the argument if he should go or not. Pretty much as we were before the game apart from another game we didn't win and was another disappointing performance but we didn't lose.

Sadly, winning match day threads tend to have less replies, Oldham being a good example. 17 pages whereas this will have more than that.

A very rare thing indeed, in fact we need to get Arthur Negus involved here.

I wasn’t there today and didn’t watch on I follow either. I was clearing out an 83 year old hoarders house and filling a massive skip with the kind of stuff I can only really call rat water infested rubbish. But she’s a lovely lady with a heart of gold and I actually enjoyed my day. Probably more than most who watched Rovers.

Yeah, away games tend to be longer (coz there're more of us sat at home, I would think) and wins usually have a lot less, and I think Tuesday ones have less coz people go to bed sooner, so a home win on a Tuesday should be the shortest.

If that doesn't put a dent in the JB should stay side of the debate I don't know what will. Probably nothing since it's like a religious cult. They'll keep lying to themselves in order to keep believing what they believe and ignore what's in front of their eyes.

Drew against 10 man Barrow, who finished 21st last season, who had 9 players in the lineup who were run ragged in midweek, while we were able to rest and prepare for today. Absolutely pathetic display. Again.

I will start by saying that I do not think now is the time to sack JB.
I am now firmly off the fence, and I am looking forward to the day he is no longer our manager. This opinion is based solely on the performance of the football team. He needs to go. The longer we wait, the less chance of promotion this season. That is my opinion.
The standout item from the radio commentary was when our midfielders had the ball and were preparing to attack but "did not know what to do with the ball". It seems to me that the players do not have a basic gameplan to follow.
Yes, the players are not fit, but they do not appear to know what JB wants them to do. There appears (from my limited knowledge) to be a tactical deficiency within the team. I do not blame the players for this at all. This lies solely at the manager's door. For that reason (in addition to the truly awful record), he has to go (and will most likely be gone by Christmas).
We drew with a very poor Barrow team, who were down to 10 men for over an hour and ACTUALLY PLAYED BETTER THAN US IN THE SECOND HALF. How is that possible?
Much as I want Bristol Rovers to be successful, JB needs to be given time to PROVE BEYOND ALL REASONABLE DOUBT that he is not capable (I think we are there already). Then we can sack him with the whole fanbase united behind the decision.
Very, very disappointing.
