Just got home. What a day. 3 goals. 3 points. Clean sheet. Nicholson is back. Carlisle were sh**ter than us. I got an extra drink for free in error when it was my round at the pub during the England game. England won. I found a fiver on the way home. I'm never lucky enough to find more but I'll take the fiver though.
As DC says, "Happy days!"

Post match Barton interview, no reference to climbing his bloody mountain nor going to church. What a shocker! Climb every mountain was played at the end of the match though Ain’t no mountain high enough blaring out the speakers leaving the ground, someone was taking the water.

Best of luck today its getting to crunch time for Joey I really do hope he can turn things round but you can only have so many chances. I watched that press conference and to be honest I thought it was a bit worrying about where his head was at and also the offer to resign through the week reeks of a fella looking for an out. He has come back from lows before and hopefully he can do it again. Anyway just put a score on a Rovers win UTG Brave man and fair play to you👍

Thought it was harsh for a few comments on the phone in after the game saying how poor Carlisle were. They pressed us all game, kept possession well, moved it around well, few shots from outside the box, plenty of corners, forced 2 great saves from Belshaw first half, to say they were poor is doing them, and us, a disservice.
Having enjoyed the game, 3 great goals, 3 well earned points, some hard working performances from Collins, Thomas, Saunders, Evans etc, the only criticism I have is the midfield, Whelan & Coutts, give the back line no outlet whatsover. They're just not there.
Anyway, what a lovely Sunday!!!

I doubt Whelan and Coutts was ever going to be JB's first choice pairing but with Finlay and Grant both missing it's just as well they are at the club, and also both fit!
Hopefully Mehew will get his chance to press for a first team place on Wednesday night, and Grant surely can't be far away from returning?
I don't really understand why Westbrook is still so damn useless, even at L2 level.

Funny how fans see things differently, I thought Coutts was head and shoulders above any player on that pitch. Always offered himself for the easy ball, lots of interceptions, tackles, always involved. Anderson looked much more comfortable at left back rather than left of 3 man defence. Carlisle definitely not a poor side, got decent players we will play much worse sides. We scored 3 very good goals, brilliant bit of skill by evans for the first and a brilliant pass and finish for the third. Still a bit shaky at the back at times, but to be expected with a young back line and will improve.

If that's the case, why did the back 4 have to play it around themselves and then launch it forward, completely bypassing him, and Whelan? Because he's nowhere near them! Neither made themselves available, and I didn't spot interceptions, tackles or involvement from where I was sat. But, we won.

Thought we mixed it up a bit, you need to go short and long otherwise it gets predictable, but yes Coutts did show himself even if he wasn't passed to. Coutts and Whealan go about their business under the radar a little. I also thought Whealan was decent yesterday. Watch the game back, you will be surprised how involved they both were. I also rate Finley as well. I think all we are missing is a big number 9 type, someone with physical pressence, who can hold the ball up.

His legs aren't gone and if he keeps that up he will become a important player for us.Whelan looks f**ked tho.Legs completely gone, no pace..nothing, just like pitman.

just watched highlights on news now brfc, thought all 3 goals were excellent ,it showed are class versus a average l2 team, thomas layoff were of higher league player and the finishing was great, if thomas and nicholson carry on playing so well i do think we can make playoffs ,i think we will improve game by game ,the look on players faces showed they really enjoyed winning and i think they will want it more now.

I too felt that Coutts had a very good game . As regards Westbrooke I feel he is very much a luxury player and can play well for a side doing well for long periods. I have a feeling that he has become disillusioned playing in a losing team and now probably being about sixth choice for two positions.
