As a Carlisle supporter I just thought I’d pop over and thank you for getting rid of Beech for us, it was worth the three points, really. If only there was something you could do to rid us of our Board.

Just read the extended Barton after match interview in the post where he says we played 352? I’m sure it was 4 at the back or is he joking with the reporter. Anyone?

Funny how fans see things differently, I thought Coutts was head and shoulders above any player on that pitch. Always offered himself for the easy ball, lots of interceptions, tackles, always involved. Anderson looked much more comfortable at left back rather than left of 3 man defence. Carlisle definitely not a poor side, got decent players we will play much worse sides. We scored 3 very good goals, brilliant bit of skill by evans for the first and a brilliant pass and finish for the third. Still a bit shaky at the back at times, but to be expected with a young back line and will improve. I was disappointed with the majority of his performances, until yesterday. I thought he looked past it. But yesterday he seemed fitter and got around the pitch a lot more. He used the ball well, when he got it. That was more like the player, I had hoped we signed. Think a lot of fans write player’s off too early. So even when they have a good game, they still moan about them!!

Since then we’ve had relegation form and the rot had to stop.

Wasn't able to really watch/follow today, listened on radio up until a couple of minutes after we took the lead. It sounded dire up until that point tbh and the commentary really doesn't help, you have absolutely no clue whats going on in the game - just nothing chatter and then 'oh what a chance for carlisle, Belshaw saved the gas there'. Honestly awful. Delighted to see the scoreline though and of course Thomas & Nicholson in fine form. I thought Walsall might have been a corner turned, but then Swindon happened - but it looks like we're a midtable team here. We seem to beat the worser teams and get hammered by the better ones. Agree with you re; commentary - it really is appalling , just dreadful 😩😩😩😩😩💙 Add to this that there seem to be surplus people on the camera gantry that cant keep from leaning on the bar or having mobile phones or pieces of paper blocking the camera shot. That needs sorting out , looked amateur.

His legs aren't gone and if he keeps that up he will become a important player for us.Whelan looks f**ked tho.Legs completely gone, no pace..nothing, just like pitman. Didnt Whelan make the pass to Evans for his goal ? I also thought it was him who played the ball to Thomas for his cross and the Nicholson goal ?

Def 352, in the warmup before the game, some were eulogising about the team was set up for 4 at the back, with the players named, yet only 3 were practising as a group.

It looked like a fairly even game going by the extended highlights,Carlisle certainly had chances to score that were almost as good as the ones we had.The thing that stood out though was the quality of the goals,no direct mistakes by the opponents (sure they will moan about the right back being easily beaten for the 1st and 2nd goals) and all were well crafted and taken very well indeed.Good signs at last when you think how good the Anderson goal was last week as well. Praying for a positive result at Bradford now along with JB. 🙏 🙏

For the Evans goal ? Collins did well on the right cut inside ran a bit passed it sideways to whelan who passed it on to Evans. Cant wait for collins to score ,good things from him to come i reckon.

Definitely Collins for the first goal but Whelan still had the "legs" to pass to Thomas for the last two goals, Whelan does have an odd running action which seems to give the impression both his legs are tied together even early in the game.

You gotta be kidding? If that's the case, why did the back 4 have to play it around themselves and then launch it forward, completely bypassing him, and Whelan? Because he's nowhere near them! Neither made themselves available, and I didn't spot interceptions, tackles or involvement from where I was sat. But, we won. Just saying from what I watched. Thought we mixed it up a bit, you need to go short and long otherwise it gets predictable, but yes Coutts did show himself even if he wasn't passed to. Coutts and Whealan go about their business under the radar a little. I also thought Whealan was decent yesterday. Watch the game back, you will be surprised how involved they both were. I also rate Finley as well. I think all we are missing is a big number 9 type, someone with physical pressence, who can hold the ball up. I agree - thought Coutts was MOTM. And what’s wrong with knocking passes about at the back until there’s a better option forward?

I watched the whole Game thinking we were playing a back 4. It was 4 at the back, started as Hoole Taylor Harries Brown until Brown went off injured and was replaced with Anderton. Bristol Post and BBC sport also saying the same

Because eventually you get caught, and it's pretty difficult to create goal scoring opportunities from back there. If the midfield were more active, it would be unnecessary. As for Coutts being Man of the Match, for me, he wouldn't even figure in the top 10 from that squad Saturday.

Thomas for his impact over a short period would get an 8 and whelan being instrumental in the goals a 7.5. Hoole being the only player who had a slightly below par game getting a 6.
