If he is found guilty and goes to prison he will be unable to turn up for work and, therefore, in breach of his contract. That means dismissal without compensation. Love him or hate him that’s the last thing we need for the team. He's not on the clubs payroll though, he admitted that in a recent interview. The club employs the services of a sports management company owned by his mate and they pay Bartons wages.

When is Barton's first appearance in court? I thought it was tomorrow. I know the domestic abuse case is in December. Maybe they are just waiting until he does something else and can coral them altogether!! When is Barton’s first appearance in court? You almost ask that like you haven’t got it marked on your calendar! You do his distinguished career a disservice. This is the third time he has been charged with a violent offence and his fourth will follow in December. He's 2-0 down so far.

I suspect that means that once he’s paid Eddie jennings, boarding and whatever other staff he’s got here that he’s not making anything out of being our manager.

He also has history of paying people himself, he did this at Fleetwood.

If found guilty of either case must be dismissed.
If found not guilty then he should stay in our employment despite already being proven a violent thug, as we knew this when we employed him.

That would surely sort this out a bit quicker No idea whether it’s true or not but it’s not unusual for businesses to contract with an agency to employ someone - especially when it’s a fixed term contract…. There are advantages to doing this as it means lots of benefits in kind and pension payments and sick pay etc is not funded by the club - instead it’s the agency who pay it but deduct it from the contractors day rate… the club can then pay a higher day rate… standard contracting practice and keeps within IR35

How confident that if he does get sent down he'll be sacked? Wael has already shown him a huge amount of loyalty. If it was only a couple of months could he stay in the role?
I'm guessing if it's the domestic abuse case where he's guilty no way he could stay on.

Trial expected to last a week.At least there’s no midweek game to worry about, but certainly won’t be ideal preparation for the Sutton F.A. cup game.

I was just saying if they could find the interview containing the specific quote then we could stop to-ing and fro-ing and put the subject to bed

If Barton ends up going how much future success of a new manager will be attributed to him?
No doubt people will see what they want, truth is Barton is starting to be a success and some loudly outspoken people just might be wrong
