No idea whether it’s true or not but it’s not unusual for businesses to contract with an agency to employ someone - especially when it’s a fixed term contract…. There are advantages to doing this as it means lots of benefits in kind and pension payments and sick pay etc is not funded by the club - instead it’s the agency who pay it but deduct it from the contractors day rate… the club can then pay a higher day rate… standard contracting practice and keeps within IR35 Sure.. but someone was quoting an interview with Wael as a source. I was just saying if they could find the interview containing the specific quote then we could stop to-ing and fro-ing and put the subject to bed I know mate - wasn’t directed at you, just yours was the last message I read which was talking about it… Completely agree that it would help if people added links to add substance or proof or evidence…

If Barton ends up going how much future success of a new manager will be attributed to him? No doubt people will see what they want, truth is Barton is starting to be a success and some loudly outspoken people just might be wrong Same applies in reverse. If a new manager failed how much blame would be attributed to what he had inherited? Your post is speculation.

He mentioned an interview here: If he is found guilty and goes to prison he will be unable to turn up for work and, therefore, in breach of his contract. That means dismissal without compensation. Love him or hate him that’s the last thing we need for the team. He's not on the clubs payroll though, he admitted that in a recent interview. The club employs the services of a sports management company owned by his mate and they pay Bartons wages. Which is why I was hoping the link to the interview would be shared - as I must have missed it

What is he actually charged with? Is it common assault, or something extra involving ABH or GBH? As the case has gone to crown court , JB would most likely be charged with ABH . A lesser charge of common assault can be dealt with in a magistrates court. If found guilty JB will most likely go straight to jail, having already been in prison there is little chance of him getting a suspended sentence. The c!ub would have to sack him there would be no point keeping him on if he is stuck behind bars for 6 months, unless the players want to take their training in the clink!.

Thanks for the heads up that’s very useful information - if he goes to prison will he still appear at the magistrates court in handcuffs on the lesser charge? His last prison sentence was 13 years ago - does this really mean that he will “most likely go straight to jail with little chance of getting a suspended sentence” (if convicted) as you’re suggesting - or is it just wishful thinking on your part?

I took info from government guidelines, Crown Court is more serious, normally you go to jail if convicted and have previous, it depends which category the crime is put in , it could be up to 26 months. I am not biased either way , just want the club to do well with or without JB.Problem bringing him into the club has tarnished our image, most football followers I speak to are puzzled to why we ever brought him in . It won't look good on Wael and the board if he goes down.

If JB is found guilty he would be our best "striker", as he would certainly will know where the goal is too. UTG

Have you seen the paperwork that proves this to be fact? I didn't ask to see the paperwork, I think the Presidents word is good enough. The President? Who is that??

As we're clearly improving on the pitch I hope he's innocent of both charges and found not guilty. The last thing we need is another change of manager just as we're starting to make some progress. As we've clearly been sh**e 99% of his time here, I hope he's found guilty of both charges. The last thing we need is another year of his crap results with 10 wins in 41 games and the shame he brings on the club. I really find it hard not to comment sometimes, I shall bite my tongue

If he is guilty I hope he is found guilty. If he is innocent I hope he is found innocent. I don’t understand how anyone would want anything else.

My wife works as a Accessor in the Police force , so I have spoken to her about all this , she says if guilty of the Stendhal incident then he will still have to appear at the magistrates court whether the sentence has been passed and him jailed or not. She says CPS would not be prosecuting if they did not think there as a good chance of a conviction, he could get Up to 6 months for the second offence if found guilty. But you can't presume anything , it will all come out in the wash , we may or may not have a new manager in January.

I also find it amazing how people are telling Wael what to do, he’s poured astronomical sums of money into the club imagine someone telling you what you should be doing with your money and questioning your judgement on what’s the “good for the club”.
I see the line of investors starting to form an orderly queue

Read the comments made publicly by Conor Taylor on Radio Stoke. I don’t want us to be looking for a fourth manager since Tinkerman left.

I see the line of investors starting to form an orderly queue I agree with you but if it wasn't for the fans the club wouldn't exist , so there opinions should be taken into consideration when running a club. That is why there had recently been a fans review.
