With TW gone and last year’s players more or less shipped out and several coaches gone WAQ is running out of people to blame for our current position. Getting promotion at BRFC looks to be worrying, those who get it find themselves leaving months later, TW, two managers, various coaches. If the major is responsible for this ‘whole club review’ then I’ve yet to see his experience or hear about what makes him qualified to do so. I’d say it’s worrying but I guess only time will tell. I suppose now that TW has gone some will have their scapegoat and be pleased. Oh well He doesn’t need to blame anyone, he’s just done £25M down Rovers. The ‘Golden Rule’ - he who owns the gold makes the rules.

Need a suitable replacement as chief scout ASAP acting in the clubs best interests. i.e. not one of Barton's mates or minders. If replaced then Joey will be on the phone to Wael in a shot and will have identified a suitable candidate to take forward his own take-over of the club. I thought we might have seen the back of Joey today but he seems to have a pretty bright legal team so who knows.

Suspect Eddie Jennings will rock up next week? Is he still living with Joey in Bristol? Is Joey or Wael paying the rent?

Surely the final decision on who stays and leaves on the board is with the owner not TG. He may have left of his own free will, same with Starnes , who knows why they left. Perhaps you are right.
My point was a little tongue in cheek, but 2 sizeable stories in one week and we may get another on Monday.
I didn't get the feeling that TW was the sort of guy to voluntarily fall on his sword, but maybe I'm wrong. Its clear that there was a fractured relationship between Joey and Tommy, so something had to give.
Yes Barton said he didn't want TW involved in recruitment and TW messed up while helping Garners recruitment drive so he was probably been heading for the door for some time. I don't think It signifies that Barton is definitely staying though as Wael made it clear he didn't want people on his staff who have been involved in domestic violence so if Barton is convicted of the second case he will be gone.

I would guess that Mrs Barton has had a word or two with Wael.

Whoever comes in, it’s not gonna be big shoes to fill. He’s actually been MIA for the past year.
Overall some of the worst signings we’ve had and no network in place for future continuity. No ideal what his role was and what work won’t be getting done now.
Be great if he joined Swindon with that other clown

For balance, that "clown" is in the automatics but for goal difference. Does suggest there is more to it than individuals.

Ben Garner is not a good manager, probably the worst ever in Rovers recent history and that includes Gary Thompson and Shaun North

And you were a champion for him pirate. Everyone makes mistakes, you more than others . ( that’s without going into your whacky COVID vaccine nonsense in the past ) 🙄

Tommy “these players are good enough. We’ve done a huge amount of work selecting them….” Wriddlington He had to go for that statement alone, failure to recognise a truly awful team. He had a good innings off the back of the JCH signing, thanks and goodbye.

Suspect Eddie Jennings will rock up next week? Surely that depends on 11 members of a Jury, if they decide that Barton's guilty, we could well be looking for a new manager and DoF next week.

Quite a few of you lot are really a right bunch with short, selective, memories. Tommy Widdrington did his best for the club whilst he was in a position to do so. Latterly when marginalised he had less influence and therefore was less effective. Not his fault and doesn't make him 'useless'. As far as I could tell the bloke did the best that he could for the cub. Good luck Tommy in your next venture. UTG

I feel your constantly against me on here, let’s judge Big Ben at the end of the season shall we. One game against us isn’t a measure of his genius. If Joey had beaten him would you have given the same accolade?

Not sure what accolade Garner has been given, but the reality is his side do sit 12 places above us, did outplay us for 90 minutes and beat us on our own turf.

You're constantly backing new manager until they don't start off on a winning run playing whilst playing fantastic football, then you want them replaced a few months into the job.

I didn't sack the last manager after 83 days. Barton has been in charge for nearly 10 months and in that time has shockingly lost 24 games out of 44, double the amount he has won. I'll always back a new manager, but when they have a record like Barton's I'll call it what it is...a pathetic record.
