Johnny Williams was sent flying twice by Evans, with two brilliant fair tackles! What a thug🤣

Our ex manager complaining about so called aggressive tactics by us last Saturday being reported in the Bristol Post what a muppet No comment from Garner on the head high boot inflicting stitches above Ryan Loft’s eye. Oh, hang on, that must have been us disrupting play!

Anybody understand why managers frequently sign players from the club's they previously.......?
Is Mr Garner just biding his time?
Does Mr Garner recall the horrendous scissor challenge (FOUL - NOT GIVEN) by penalty scorer Ben Gladwin on Sam Finley in the first match?
In the Prem or with another referee this very dubious challenge might well be a Red Card.

Our ex manager complaining about so called aggressive tactics by us last Saturday being reported in the Bristol Post what a muppet No comment from Garner on the head high boot inflicting stitches above Ryan Loft’s eye. Oh, hang on, that must have been us disrupting play! Exactly. But then from what I remember BG used the “crap ref” excuse after many matches with us us. In the end it was boring and we realised it was just a deflection from his ineffective possession based football. But I guess most managers use the referee to deflect away from them and the players. In his case his moaning is a bit too close to home and this team of JB is the exact opposite of the team we were under BG. And given what JB said about him I expect these snidely comments from BG to continue esp for as long as Swindon are above us in the table. UTG!

Perhaps Mr Garner needs reminding that football is a contact sport. Yes we are a much more physical side under JB, but we definately are not dirty. Maybe if he told his players to get up and get on with it they might do a bit better. The breaks in play for there non existent injuries certainly seemed to favour us more

I think he his team of cheats will fall away from the play offs and the Swindle fans will want him out I think you might be right about them falling away from playoffs, but regarding them wanting him out... I work with a guy that lives and attends most if not all swindon games, and when I have spoken to him he replies that the fans absolutely adore him, you have to remember at the start of the season Swindon were broken, They got Garner and he built up a team of players from nothing and with very little in the way of budget, in that time they have been in the top ten? (I might be wrong on that, I dont really follow their league progress, but I know they've been up that area) I really don't think he will be going anywhere soon

Fair play to him. I didn’t see the game so no idea if he had a point or not, but he’s just doing what managers do in standing up for his team and trying to get an advantage with officials going forward. After what happened at the Gas he could easily have just gone back to coaching at a good level but he hasn’t hid, he got straight back on the horse and he’s probably learned a lot. What I will say is though he obviously didn’t do a very good job at Rovers, I don’t think he’d have been helped by having Widdrington behind the scenes, who had a lot of power at the club at that stage. I was surprised when Garner was sacked as the timing was odd. He was a long term appointment, Wael lost his nerve, sacked him and ultimately we got relegated anyway so he may as well have stuck with him for the season, especially with no fans being allowed in the stadiums. It was the perfect opportunity for a training ground ‘project’ to play out. As it is, Rovers and Garner are now both in league 2 but with promising signs for the future.

Wael probably went with TW at the time at the expense of BG. Perhaps a different outcome if we had sacked TW and not BG at that moment. We will never know.

If it wasn't for the win against Sunderland prior to the first Covid lockdown, BG was surely headed out of the door. In hindsight, a new manager to steer us through the 2020-21 season would have led to a different outcome.
Having said that, I feel happier now that Widdrington no longer has any input to the club.
