I thought this too and found it hard to believe Joeyw as even linked with our job at the time, based on this. I can only assume he had just thought f**k it, worth a shot at that point! More likely he was attracted to the idea of employing a high profile manager on the cheap? 😂🤣😂🤣😂

Good on him. Needs to get above him in the league before he can flex like that though

When Garner was running our team , We had no spirit and no fight so we must be improving. So true, we were gutless ! I love that joe has instilled some pride/ fight , also I like the way a relationship is building with the fans , great to see ! 💙UTG

I feel there is a relationship building with the manager as well as the players - the manager brought these players in. Whether some like it or not we have a ‘high profile’ manager who every one connected with football in the UK knows about for all the right or wrong reasons. He is still a relatively inexperienced manager and I detect a growing maturity - he says it how he sees it, rightly or wrongly and personally I have no problem with that - his players appear to support him totally. In the medium to long term imo, I see him as a positive for the club moving forward, irrespective as to whether i like him as an individual or not.

Amazing that the intellect of the nation has dropped so low people are unable to distinguish between Bristol Rovers and Bristol City. (This is the result ending 3-2 with I believe a penalty)

I don’t care whether I like our manager’s personality, i didn’t really like Coughlans personality I found him boring but I loved what he did for our club while he was here and was gutted when he left. I don’t like Barton very much but if he’s successful then I’ll want him to remain our manager because that means he’s doing a good job. He’s the manager of a football club not our mate, we don’t have to spend time with , go for a beer with him , he’s there to do his job and if he’s doing it well then I’m happy. I realise a lot of supporters don’t see it that way.

I guess this is how certain opposition coaches will spin things against us from here on in, when they know there’s a strong chance they will be outplayed from the off.

'I didn’t see that. I considered myself quite a physical player who played quite physical, and no disrespect to Ben but he didn’t actually play football'. And yet this man who 'didnt actually play football' is proving to be a better manager than Saint Joey. Sometimes (in fact most of the time Joey) its better not to open your mouth. Wait until you have achieved something as a manager before you start on other managers!

I’ve been a big critic of JB’s press conferences in the past, but no problem with this response to Garner’s whine. In fact. The last few weeks, JB has come across pretty well. He seems to have calmed.
