Sounds like he had a great relationship with Tommy W. Also want to know he was doing to make him lick his fingers...

Put the last minute afternoon annual leave request into work to drive up tomorrow.
Not been to Oldham before and could be the last time we play them in a while.
Im feeling optimistic. 2 nil to Rovers.

One memory of that day, Boundary Park the coldest ground since Nuneaton in 2014/15!

Nicholson is such an odd one at present, doesn’t look like scoring but do you see our team plays to him a lot. Whenever he’s on the ball the opposition defence panics.
I think he’s a victim of his own success, and his threat of pace and flair makes opportunities for others.
He might not be scoring but it’s rare he loses the ball, and he tends to always do something intelligent with it.
Perhaps we are judging his scoring on last year when he played upfront. He’s a winger, he’s not supposed to score lots of goals, but did fairly well as a CF.
Just have a look how often the team plays it up to him, it’s clear the tactic has Nicho as a key point in the attack.

Nuneaton WAS cold.Their ground was shared with the Rugby club and they had steel terracing.Fog was coming in very fast and I was dreading it would be called off. They had a loan keeper from Barnsley with Ginger hair.He wore a pink top and the chorus to the tune of 'Lily The Pink' was ,'Ginger and Pink ,you're avin a laugh'.Best ref all season that day.

Oldham are the worst team I have seen us play this season. Having said that, Sheridan is sure to have made them more resolute and harder to beat, they will probably come to frustrate us and get a point. We should have too much for them.

Really put in a shift. The ball usually sticks to him and there’s also the odd flash of brilliance, for instance when setting up the first goal at Scunthorpe. I think he’s really important for us at present.

Oldham may well have been the worst team folk have seen when we last played them BUT recent results seem to indicate that they have improved and i regard this match as just as tough as the Sutton game was forecast to be, Baggins i think this is your toughest gig yet and normally a point at Oldham on a cold winters night would be satisfactory but if we are serious about play offs we simply have to win! Good luck to JB ,squad and the hardy souls making the journey, we have to approach the game in the right frame of mind and be up for it from the first whistle or else! come on Rovers we are the better team so show it!

Gotta a feeling that the lad from Newcastle is going to have a big influence on the rest of our season and with him and Nicho pulling the strings scoring opportunities will come thick and fast, someone will have to make way but that makes the bench even stronger IMHO!

Do you actually believe that? It's the sort of thing you expect a player or manager to come out with. Yes, they will be harder to beat with Sheridan in charge but even on recent form Sutton are a lot stronger so I can't see why it should be as tough as that game.

Thought I’d have a look at their recent results, as I’ve seen a few mentions of their ‘decent’ form of late…can’t seem to find it though 😂
Since Boxing Day:
Oldham 1 - 3 Scunny Barrow 0 - 0 Oldham Hartlepool 0 - 0 Oldham Harrogate 3-0 Oldham Oldham 0 - 0 Rochdale Scunny 0 - 1 Oldham
Whilst we are 4 wins and 2 draws in the last six and haven’t failed to score a goal in all comps, since FGR over two months ago. An early goal will be very welcome tomorrow night.

Difficult to judge this one. Both sides are in form. On paper we're better than Oldham but it's away and it's grim up North. I think a point would be respectable, but that would mean only 2 points out of last 6 gained, which won't help the playoff charge.

If we cant beat sides like Oldham with the squad we have then we might as well put our feet up and get comfortable in L2. That is no way disrespecting Oldham, but they are down there for a reason and we have to go to places like this and win if we are to be taken seriously

Oldham home was probably the best 45 mins I’ve seen us play this season. Should have been 6-0 up. Second half they came right back into it and should have took a point with a sitter missed at the end. Walsall are by far and away the worst side we’ve played this season. Tomorrow won’t be easy at all.

Just seen their highlights v Scunny. Lots of head-tennis going on and they have some big guys. I think if we keep it on the floor and play football we will be ok. Their new signing Tope Obadeyi looks a handful for them though

As good as they were, they were awful and the league table backs that since!

It’s an away match in February up north so it will be hard. Oldham are going to be desperate for a decent result, had a good win on Saturday and Sheridan is a canny manager who will have them set up well. We should win, I think we’re the better team but so should AFCB last night against Boreham Wood. A scrappy 1-0 win will do me.
UTG!
