I suppose we have nothing to loose and that’s why we are appealing but as said before with these situations they are very rarely overturned .. if Coutts has grabbed him I can’t see it going anywhere even if the other guy has provoked him ..

There must be some video evidence somewhere then. Without that there is zero chance of anything being overturned.

Think you’re right. Nothing to lose really even if they chuck in an extra game ban for a frivolous appeal. Imagine it would take either mistaken identity or video evidence that he didn’t touch the guy to get it overturned. If he has grabbed the player and the ref has judged it violent conduct then I doubt a review panel will go against the ref.

Maybe we will get lucky, we seem to have a bit of it going our way at the moment!

The live camera was focused on the thrower when the incident happened. I was in line with the edge of the box, front row and didn’t see anything other than pushing & shoving after Connelly was man handled by one of their boys and dumped to the floor.
We must have our own footage and pretty confident there was no grab to anything other than the shirt, otherwise this would be pretty pointless with only the ref & linesman evidence to go by.
That being said, what a boost it would be to see this overturned.

I’ll be amazed if it gets overturned.

Rochdale fans didn't seem to see it either - fingers crossed, we've nothing to lose by appealing, and a lot to gain if it goes our way.

Worth a shot, I suppose.. but unless we have video evidence of the incident (and assuming the said footage exonerates him) we surely don't have any hope. The ref saw something and sent him off for it. If there's no video coverage to review then they will just back the referee. Which is how it should be, to be fair.

I wonder if our 'Goal Cam' cameras can help with things like this?

I wonder if our 'Goal Cam' cameras can help with things like this? We have other cameras for the analysts feed too. Although that didn’t help Finley when he was red carded against Vale. That footage showed a dive by the Vale player but it was adjudged to have been inciting enough by Finley to uphold the red.

How does the red card work for our final games then (assuming the worst and we go playoffs)? He'll miss all of them?

Although even if he is available do we even need a CDM v Scunny? That's not disrespecting Scunny either, we just need to go all out attack.

Said we pressed too high too early and got caught out. Need to stick to a game plan, so yes I kinda agree, but lets keep shape and strategy and we will surely have too much. Attack more as and when required!

I mean yeah we need to get on the front foot and attack but you do that successfully by having a balanced side that have gelled. Not by just playing all your most attacking players and tearing forward. Do that and we’ll lose the game.
