This really would be a statement of intent if the club could secure him on loan again. No disrespect, but does he want to uproot and head off to London or an unknown city? He obviously has a good head on his shoulders, and now has friends in Bristol. It would be bluddy lovely if we could see him in that team again next season.
Fingers crossed!!

I cant see it happening personally. Eddie Howe was disappointed he didn't get a Championship club on loan this season. I think the widely acknowledged success of Andersons loan may well open the door for more quality players coming in for development on loan, not just from Newcastle but across the board. I just hope to god he doesn't sign for the teds now that he has got to know Bristol a bit.

I wouldn't rule it out. Some time in League One with regular game time could be good for his development, but if he was to get regular minutes in the Championship then that would probably be Newcastle's preference. Please make it happen Rovers 🙏 🤞

You don’t ask you don’t get.
Maybe even we could have him until Christmas that would be amazing. Then Newcastle offer him out to championship sides.

Elliot is the best player i've seen playing at this level since Nick Powell for Crewe.

At what point should we just give up on trying to argue we’re not ‘Bristol’…

I think we’ve got a chance. Newcastle would probably rather he played in the championship but would he get the same game time at a championship club? I suppose he might at a smaller championship club like the 82ers but the thing we’ve got going for us is he knows he’ll start every game he knows he fits in to our style of play and he has the momentum that the club has.

Accordingly deal done we have him No chance To sell him they’d have to be offered £20m at least, it’s not like they need the money and he’s a future Premier league player.

He's in Newcastle as I type. If I'm anything to go by, he wouldnt have managed much on the training pitch today!!
Maybe he will get a look in against arsenal on Monday.
I could see a deal until Xmas.

If we somehow got him do you think it would increase season tickets holders?

If we somehow got him do you think it would increase season tickets holders? He’s just one part of why anyone would want to buy a season ticket but I can’t see anyone thinking if he’s not here I’m not renewing. He’s been class for us , one of our best but I wouldn’t say he’s been head and shoulders above the rest. Not saying he hasn’t been brilliant but it’s been a team effort and the whole squad has stepped up brilliantly since Christmas.

Probably about as realistic as scoring 7 on the final day to sneak automatic promotion...

I really hope we can pull it off, even including a recall clause if he excels in the third tier, so he can move up in January I'd be delighted with!

It makes a lot of sense. Continuity and the progress of a division up, but with the same team, partnerships, coaching. No uprooting or uncertainty.
At 19 he has plenty of time to graduate through the Championship and hopefully on to the top flight.
One other issue to consider, if the report is true that we are negotiating, you can guarantee that there has been discussions between the club and Elliot and if he wasn't interested then we would not be negotiating.
The biggest player in this is Elliot. Come on lad, you know it makes sense.
