I see we still have the odd fan trying to stir up sh** Rise above. It’s only words, on a screen

Have I missed something or is the court date meant to have been today? Nothing on here or in the press as far as I can see.

It’s not on the court listings, so I can only assume it was a typo in the BBC article and it’s 23rd July or something like that.

No criminal courts are always closed on weekends. So yeah if July 23rd is a Saturday, then I don’t know where the BBC is getting the 23rd from.

Probably adjourned due to the poorly paid train crews holding the country to ransom.

Even from the Post who are busy covering fixture release day.

It definitely is today. No news usually means the CPS have decided not to pursue.

Apparently there were over 50000 trials last year that were subject to discontinuance as they call it. If that's the case here, Joeys wifes late intervention at the first hearing, could well have trumped the prosecutions hand.

Just maybe the CPS having reviewed all the evidence have come to the conclusion Joey has no case to answer and therefore he is innocent ? if not, I just wish this matter would be resolved asap, especially with the new season being only 36 days away.
