No, this isn't another 'I hate Barton' post but it is a genuine question. When is his court case? I ask this because is that what is causing our silence in the transfer market and renewing contracts? Are players waiting to see if he will still be here after the court appearance? ( Wael did state that he would sack him if he is found guilty). The sooner it is resolved one way or another the better. I still can't stand Barton as a person but I also realise that he has been good for the footballing side of his job and for now we are better off with him than without him (that pains me to say!!)

It's been adjourned until 23 June. Have you read his autobiography? I've just picked it up in an attempt to not be as anti Barton.

I stated from the very start when he joined what I thought of him...nothing has changed from that respect....but if you can't be bothered to answer a simple question why have you posted on here?

Most Clubs early doors I guess keep their cards close to their chest to stop paying over inflated prices, wages and agent fees.
Especially us having just been promoted automatically and our perceived history of having a fairly decent budget each season. Plus I guess Joey is still putting his towel out each morning for another week or two, and fair play to him.
Its refreshing we are not jumping in to anything without I assume careful thought and planning. I am sure Joey and Wael would have had conversations before the end of the season with players depending upon where we finished.

June 23rd as someone has said .... I truly hope we have a Plan B just in case.
The leadership team around JB seems very united and strong .... Have been hugely impressed with Andy Mangan when I have chatted with him and think he could do a decent job, especially if he could keep the existing guys in place with him.
Hopefully though nothing happened that day that warrants a 'guilty' verdict so that JB and his family can look forward to the birth of their next child.

As much as i have warmed lots to him and really like the football and mental side of what he has achieved with this team, it is literally not all behind him as the OP points out. The NEXT court case is still ahead of him. He could be found guilty and sacked, innocent and move on and never get himself in trouble again or somewhere in between.

if he gets a top 10 finish this season he'll be the most successful manager for 20 years I have every faith in the guy now , I said on here many times how I thought he wasn’t up to the task and I was massively wrong. The football we were playing in the second half of the season was the best I’ve seen in my time supporting the gas , the three results against Vale, Rochdale and Scunthorpe were nothing short of outstanding, every single member of that team were not only playing for the shirt and fans , they were playing for JB. We should make the most of his time here as it won’t be long until he’s snapped up higher in the footballing pyramid, next season is going to be another cracker I’m sure of it UTFG !!!!!!!

Remain patient. If he rushed into mediocre signings(e.g.Baldwin) then we would regret it.Plenty of time and many clubs are still to announce any signings.Transfer window will open soon so don't let the boredom get to you.

By what I have seen online only a few clubs have delved into the market already, I don't expect it to get too busy until the end of June when clubs know 100% who's staying and leaving. I'm ok with the club waiting to make signings, spend time getting the right players/players better than we have rather than a quick solution just to make the numbers up.

He added that when the right opportunity showed itself he would know. i thought at the time he was making his own interests

June 23rd fixture release day. I hope it’s not Joey release day by Wael 👀. Virtually zero chance of that happening now Mrs B is prepared to support him by giving a statement, I wouldn't be surprised if the case is now dropped or, if it's not, the trial is adjourned yet again.
