The most baffling thing is people being surprised by the decision. It was a no brainer it was going to happen, get over it. Pay your respects. People can pay their respects at football, like they did yesterday.

I despise this pathetic miserable country more and more every day. And yes, I’d love to leave, but unfortunately I cannot afford to do so because of how sh**e the country is. The Russian army are looking for recruits and will pay your travel expenses, one way.....

Losing (even more) respect for this country. What a joke.Percy, why? I don’t mind either way but I can see why they have been postponed. This is really an historical moment after which things may change. So for 48 hours I can see why the PL and EFL saw the bigger picture. We'll soon forget missing a weekends football! And in the end they were damned if they did and damned if they didn’t. Small price I think. UTG!

We'll also soon forget a weekend of nothing happening, whilst a tribute like the one at West Ham last night where black armbands were worn, a minutes silence was held and the national anthem was sung, would stick long into the memory. I agree it's a small price to pay in the bigger picture, but why does anyone need to pay a price at all?

Not a royalist then! 😉 Come on brisgas, a tad OTT. But if you’re sure I think Russia are offering one-way tickets in, several Ukrainians have had little choice. And China are welcoming others to move. Though you may find it hard to post stuff like you’ve done so freely! 🤔 UTG! ps. Sorry henbury just saw your similar point.

I didn’t mean it literally, it was just a figure of speech, nobody is really paying any price are they? Apologies. UTG!

I think it’s a shame that all the sport is off, too. I have respect for the Queen as a person but ultimately she was someone I didn’t know and I’m not a royalist. I think sport could have gone ahead with a respectful tone but I accept it was never going to be the way. I wouldn’t like to tell people how to mourn someone and I accept people are affected in different ways. That’s absolutely fine. I also know that there are a lot of insincere words being spoken by those in positions of power and in the media because they have to be seen to be acting in a particular way.

Is it the end of the world? I think carrying on as normal would underempthasise the significance of this of not just for us or in our life time but in world history.
