As DC had a blind spot with goalkeepers, I think JB has a blind spot with defenders. Had we not have got Connor Taylor I don’t see us getting promoted last year. He’s spend most of his money on midfielders and forwards. I watched last night on ifollow as I’m a long way from home. We were never at the races. We lacked the quality to play out from the back, a lot of it was our back 3 playing tippy tappy.
It’s getting more and more like Garnerball Are you sure you were watching the right game as we had a back 4, two of which couldn't play that type of football if they tried. I thought it was a back 4 too but a lot of what I’ve read says it was a back 3. I was in the front row west terrace and it isn’t always obvious from that level what the shape is

This kind of post was predictable, inevitable and understandable. There is no doubt our results and performances against, Stanley, Lincoln, Shrews, and Morecombe are a valid reason for concern for even the most loyal fans. IT'S a strange one, we have gone from a team who took the field v Scunthorpe, full of swagger, utterly convinced that they could pull off the improbable to a team totally lacking in confidence and belief. Yes, we lost a couple of key ingredients from that recipe but who would have thought it would make that much difference, then again i suppose if you take key ingredients out of ant recipe it aint going to taste the same! Where i differ from the OP is that just like last season i believe JB has the ability, contacts, and desire to put things right, i believe he knows what needs to be done but like last year it aint going to happen until everyone is fit and the Jan window comes round, just got to hang in there and pick up enough points, so we do not lose contact with lower half of table, got to stay positive folks, if Burton can win at Exeter so can we!

We try to play the ball out, which is fine at times, but not always....we aren't Man City. It looked a back 3 to me yesterday, partly because they got behind us on flanks a few times.... we've been sussed, push up on us and play the ball through for anyone pacey and we are in trouble. There's room for a back 3, but surely when you're in the midst of poor run you go back to basics instead of still experimenting? When JAB reverted last season to a 4 at back, it generally reaped rewards....I do wonder as GoA says, his fixation may be his downfall if it persists?

Firstly, any lack of stabilising the club in league one can NOT be blamed on the stadium. Over 50% of clubs in this league have no better facilities than Rovers and operate on much smaller crowds. The only need for a bigger brighter stadium is to facilitate football at higher levels. To be honest you could establise Rovers as a yoyo club champ to league one with a 10-14,000 capacity stadium on the mem site.
The problem for Rovers is deciding what we are and what our goals are.
The word "potential" is actually a hinderance.
Having an aim to be bigger and better than 1982ltd is also a hinderance.
We are always chasing that better thing instead of doing the obvious thing.
If Accrington, Morecambe,Fleetwood ,Burton, Cambridge, Lincoln can operate in small stadiums at league one ,Bristol Rovers can as well. How have they managed it ?
Ok Wael might announce a superstadium and Rovers will still be a league one club . A big crowd doesnt guarentee anything nor does a pretty stadium. Notts county, Portsmouth and Bradford show that.
The identity Rovers need to establish is not the club crest but who we are as a club.

I've just had a look and can only find one, Forest Green Rovers who would match us for our crap ground.

Before the season started we were around 11-1 for promotion
Today I put 50p on us to get promoted at 125-1
I reckon JB and his mates are pretending to make us look abysmal whilst waiting for the odds to increase before a late surge to the play offs.
Cunning.

Don't agree with your 50% at all.Granted Morecambe is virtually three sided but their facilities are much better and when taking a disabled guy to games,I have not come across anywhere with as poor disabled facilities as the Mem.

There are definitely better facilities at Morecambe and Fleetwood than at the mem, they're just smaller grounds. Only Accrington and Forest Green compare with the mem really and even then FGR seem much more advanced with their new stadium plans than we are.

You can find them in the same place that “players stay loyal to their first team despite massive money moves to the premiership”

However, British players in league 2 still in this day and age understand 442 better

For me it's a certainty and I know this post is a massive negative and we are still in September but this has all the makings of disaster written all over it and I'm not just talking about the football on the pitch. Take away our poor luck with injuries so far and look at the bigger picture and I see for 1 that JBs signings this season are his 4th or 5th choice down the line of main targets if not further 🤔2 and again I will be shut down for saying this but (Wael) needs to employ a man who has the knowledge of running a football club and who can make off the field decisions and push this club forward. For all his so say money and debt he's cleared for the club he has no sense on how to progress a football club and we/he is losing 84k per week at Rovers so where is the future for him and us financially? I can see Joey walking by January and personally I don't lay the blame with him for our poor start but Wael has been here long enough and I can't see him being any different than the previous when it comes to progression off the field. With many places to build a stadium and the option to redevelop our current ground we still see and hear nothing good and I'm afraid we are going back to league two. Did you make any predictions last September (or October-December) where we would finish last season? Some people have very short memories.

We don't have a target apart from existing, most people are happy with that so that's all they'll get.

How many indoor bars with seating and food available are there at Morecambe and Fleetwood ?
