Thanks everybody for your advice. My bank statement showed the transaction the day after I visited the shop. I find it difficult to get to the shop when I am working, I am not off again until Monday when the car goes in for service. So all things considered I decided to pay the fine. I got away with £60. So I will not go to the next 3 games I was going to which takes me up to Charlton. So essentially I will not be out of pocket but BRFC will (unless they sell out all games). That is my one man protest! Hey. What are you protest against? Rebel without a Clue.

Imagine not being able to complete a simple task that countless others have done with little or no fuss, and then not even bother to carry out the straightforward task of trying to rectify, but then make out you're the 'victim'!

Does anyone have any experience of this situation.
I popped in to buy a christmas present. I obviously forgot to enter my reg into the machine and have just received a parking charge dated 19.12.22 (due to postal strike I guess) for £100 (to late for the £60 within 14 days).
Any previous experience or advice would be appreciated.
If I have to pay it. I just won't go to the Mem for the rest of the season so as to recoup my money.
This happened to me, if you can prove you were in the shop, I did, as I was buying away tickets for our visit to Ipswich, the parking ticket was subsequently rescinded.

Not easy if you're elderly or not very mobile. Making it one hour seems quite a simple and sensible solution. Although to be fair what exactly you'd be doing in the club shop for a whole hour mystifies me. If you're elderly or not mobile, how do you cope on matchday? With great difficulty if you do not have a seat. Let’s hope you never have to find out

Hey. What are you protest against? Rebel without a Clue. In his defence, half an hour, which other have mentioned also, is not long. There is a tidal wave of mental health problems going on and a lot of people just panic and pay, when they get a ticket and do not even have the will to fight it. I was one of those people so i can totally understand it. The club are also not encouraging chat amongst fans by limiting the time. The Kingswood shop was a place where you knew you would meet other gas and chat, even go for a coffee. We seem to be wanting people in, out and gone but this is the new rovers and we best get used to it. Maybe some could offer to help those who could but don’t challenge the PCN instead of posting trite comment.

As long as you punch in your number plate when you wander into the shop you can stay as long as you like can't you?

I try to see humour in all situations but i just can’t find it with this crap over me. I try, very hard, not to mention it now as it seems that if i am seen ambling from a pub to the ground then i must be fine and am swinging the lead, how i wish that were true. Luckily i can still walk for around 15 minutes but i cannot stand up, in one place, for even 20. I now only go when i can get a seat, a flying one would be great, can you email TG and make it happen 😂.

I sympathise with people getting caught out by change.
However, whilst the club shop is now very good it’s hardly The Mall at Cribbs is it? Struggle to see how unless there’s a Christmas rush someone could find enough there to spend more than 10 minutes in the shop.

I have never used the car park but parked further away, by the welly even though i d not use the pub as it get’s too packed and i can’t even stand in a queue for very long. Ah well, it is what it is. Like most things, we get used to it but the more we get used to it, the more we will have implemented to maximise the spend, per punter. Hope you are having a good Sunday

Only go there on a day off, or shop online, as the Mem isn’t easy to get to on a lunch break and it’s rare I can spare more than an hour as my work is pretty intense.

That makes sense of what you have posted then, thanks I’m amazed if there’s 20 minutes of queueing on a bog standard lunch hour outside of the week before Christmas. The club shop must be doing a rip roaring trade if that’s the case.
