Sadly, monkey see monkey do. Still, has kept the attendances high, even when losing , regularly. Could even be seen as a master stroke, by some. It’s all well and good doing these investigation but if nought comes from them then its yet another example of virtue signalling. They can investigate, however, unless they can clearly identify those responsible, there is little more they can do - I don't see that as virtue signalling. You could just as easily say that all the clubs who get involved with Her Game Too are just paying lip service, or virtue signalling, as with racism etc It must be particularly difficult to identify people on a terrace for comments made, as there are no seat numbers to trace them, CCTV only really works if there are groups chanting abuse. We seem to have had a fair few investigations but nothing really done about things. Surely, given the cameras and reports, it should be much easier to identify people but then that would mean bans. Her game too has not been without its challenges for Caz and her group too and some of the comments have been bordering abusive. I have reported the ringleader, a female, to the club but heard nothing in response. Rather than back it it seems to have had some get envious of the attention and Caz has been really good on camera, as a spokesperson. I saw the post by the guy with MS who had no one back him up, when he tried to challenge the use of a certain word and i certainly shocked me as there was no back up nor apparent feeling of remorse. I am with o2 in saying it’s not the club i recognise as, even at Eastville, people did have morals and it wasn’t tolerated by many. As for cameras only picking up groups, they certainly picked out individuals when it suited them. There are still a fair few who think it’s acceptable to say unacceptable things but now in hushed tones and by being passive aggressive

I thought the woman ref was pretty good. Didn’t get conned at all.
The issue is, I feel ok shouting blue murder at a bloke but don’t feel right doing it to a woman. Perhaps now it’s about equality then the same vitriol can be poured regardless of gender.
or maybe we should be respectful of officials.
Haha! Just kidding!

You don't half come out with some cObblers about the good old days.

Out of all of what KP posted, his allusion to eastville was one line, and didn't include the Tote End.....and, if your post wants to include Tote End good kicking, it's a small minority of people in a vast minority of occasions we were at that venue. Perspective.

I think it has definitely died down, compared to what it was quite a few years ago. I sometimes think that drawing a lot of attention to these things actually makes it worse, as certain kinds of people like attention and feeling as though they are going against the grain. Unless it's a large group chanting (e.g. the rent boy chants aimed at Chelsea fans), which can be picked up on camera, I think individually expressed comments are harder to pick out.

It’s a good point Tilly. Giving oxygen to a minority isn’t great. But still think it’s right to call it out, mainly because people (men) need to be better at calling out their mates that engage in this nonsense and not laugh along or ignore.
