Sounds convincing. He was very good for us last year. Wish him all the best.

Absolutely gutted if this is the case. Clearly a model pro and judging by Ellis's comment asking him to sign he was well liked. He will be difficult to replace no doubt.
Thanks for everything Monky.

Understandable, but disappointing at the same time.
According to a journo up that way, Hartlepool aimed to sign him in January. Reckon he's going back there.

Wouldn't blame him if he wants to be closer to his family.
Played a vital part last season, and feel he could have played a part this season too. Good luck on your next adventure.

Good luck and all the best Monky. Top professional and an integral part of the promotion winning side last year; pretty much an ever-present in the side.
Fully respect his decision though and wish him all the best for the future.

Look like genuine quotes so I wouldn't be surprised to see something official from the club soon.
I must admit, I didn't really rate him when he first came but his partnership down the left down side with Brown was one of the best we have had, he seemed well liked, worked hard and chipped in with his fair share of goals and it will be a shame to see him go.
All the best Monkhouse!

In the words of the longleat toddler, "monkey f**k off!" On a serious note though. Top pro. Really rated him on his day, thanks and good luck!

Damn! Thought he had was good influence for some of the younger players and chipped in with goals to boot. He maybe looking for a coaching role with someone too when he decides to retire.

Seems like he has more 'important' things to be doing with his time...

Top Man monkey. Thanks for last season and good luck . I suspect newly promoted Guiseley will be an ideal challenge for you and right on your doorstep. Cheers

Disappointing to see him go but you can understand his decision, unusally for us lately it will be good to welcome an ex player back next season!
