LOL at anyone believing there's a plan B.
LOL at anyone thinking we'll ever need a 15,000 capacity stadium let alone 22,000.

If I had his money I could. You probably could too if you think about it. What I am saying is that if we don't get the stadium based on the spec already agreed, it's doubtful it would ever happen thus the reason for the thread name. Think about it, we would need more planning permission, a new agreement with UWE to allow it, (it's their land remember) and it would show ambition. What I find staggering is how many people are prepared to accept second best. We had, and possibly could again get permission to make the Mem an18000 capacity stadium. Why are we so beaten down that we will now accept even less? I assume if the plan B is for a 10000 seat stadium you will again be happy with that. Who will own it? Us? Remember that we have no money. Plan B is being lead by the UWE

While I don't see much point in discussing something that may not ever get to the drawing board. I think a new 10,000 all seater would be an improvement on what we have. The stadium was originally expected to be 22,000 increaseable to 30,000. I can't see why UWE would object to that capacity being reached. I don't think it's a matter of accepting second, its about getting the best we can.

"Who will own it? Us? Remember that we have no money." I suspect if we do end up with plan b it'll be us selling The Mem for housing & the proceeds of the sale will help towards the smaller ground. From what I understand Plan B would be in Partnership with UWE rather than us building on their land and having some arrangement in place. Cheaper for us up front, but means we are tied closely to UWE.

There is so much sh** put about this forum, why don't you just wait and see what happens before making your own mind up. Ask your self this could you do a better job than Higgs I know I couldn't You must be pretty crap at most things that you do then and tell lies all of the time and not just most of it.

if we were halfway in the championship we would only average about 9,000 and if we struggled about the same as we get now i reckon. 22,000 stadium would be ghostly and mostly empty

Gasincider. At what point did you realise that Nick Higgs was leading the club into oblivion?

There is absolutely no reason we could not do this at the mem it's not like we have never hosted rugby we have had big screens at the mem for football why not rugby I'm sure there are people locally who would come.

Come May next year when the green party takeover Bristol you will be lucky to get planning permission to empty your rubbish into a bin, so developing anything in Bristol will be a thing of the past

But we as a club, need to be ambitious otherwise we will just stagnate like we have over the last 15 years or so. I know it's been done to death, but historically clubs like Swansea, Hull and Reading were smaller clubs than us, with lower gates. We are a million miles away from those clubs now in every aspect. Hull were struggling in League 2 when they moved into The KC, Likewise Swansea, and Reading were struggling in League 1 getting smashed 6-0 at home by us in their first season at The Mad Stad. I don't remember their stadiums being empty, do you? I swear our fans have become the most apathetic and unambitious group of supporters out there. It really is depressing!

Even now our only hope is somebody else funds the UWE staduim whilst we sell the Mem to clear debts run up by NH.

Regardless of what gate Rovers attract this stadium is about 24/7 income generation. Therefore concerts and finals could played here far in excess of what crowd Rovers get so the bigger the stadium the bigger the potential to win new business outside of football . That is the point

Really Do you mean a few on here and some on the independent Forum ? I think there is s bigger margin between the board haters and those that trust the board will get it right that has caused the most damage
