I think he has been silly. He can text the lads privately to tell them they've had a good game but posting it on Twitter is daft. The ted players wouldn't do it and neither would any of ours, apart from Ellis. Our fans defending the kid are obviously not as devoted as others, that's fine but praising the club's rivals publicly is daft. The consequences of him having a bad game today have multiplied alot! He should concentrate on bring a third rate footballer imo because once he's done with football, he could struggle. I can't say if I am more or less devoted than you, but I don't see how defending a rovers player makes me less devoted. Its because your defending the undefendable! Dont praise our BITTER rivals, end of. They dont praise us, in fact my ted mates take the p*ss out of me and our contrast in current fortunes everyday, i dont need own player adding to this!!

Also respect for Lockyer for calling them out on their mischief. The boy has potential to go far with that attitude.

At one end of the scale, you get your rugby mentality football fans who respect, appreciate and congratulate things about the opposition. At the other end you have uber fanatics that will dismiss everything about the opposition as negative even when it's not. Clearly, going by this thread, we have a mixture of opinions on the matter. In my opinion and based on how I feel about our same city rivals..I don't appreciate one of our players publicly praising them. What he does in his own time is one thing but a pro player now is in the public eye especially through social media. He isn't good enough or wise enough to act like a penis and alienate sections of the fanbase.

Particularly as he was spat at by one of their vile fans and witnessed first hand what a horrible club it is.

It's about conduct in your role. The consequences of my post are zilch.

Just gives the teds another stick to beat is with. They've got enough ammunition as it is due to the tinpot way the club is ran without him giving them more. He's deleted the post which says a lot.

I like Ellis' straight talk and his attitude is a part of him and his game in my opinion - Is he naive sometimes - of course but storm in a tea cup if we're honest here and mansell and the lads are all seeing the humour in it- Bang a goal in later lad and all will be forgotten -UTG!!! One man's Appropriate is always another mans Inappropriate remember:

It is not as simple as that we are all different and we all deal with things differently that is what makes this place fun. I for instance hate that Stewart supports city. I hate it that the club has allowed players let it be known they were city supporters before they joined us, but those players have done a good job for us and I have supported them while here. The rubgby mentality is just as partisan in ways. Just look at England not picking players playing in France which probably caused their early exit

All he actually said was how well he thought Kodja and Freeman played.
Some of our fans really need to grow the f**k up!
Pathetic!

Is the bloke not allowed to watch football and.say x team played well. So what if it happened to be City.
I think our fans ought to wind their necks in.
Some.of our fans are easily fecking upset
