Naive perhaps best sums this up. Yea you are entitled to have an opinion about whatever you want, but he has to understand that praising our bitterest rivals will erk most fans. Especially when you are a player who hasnt been squeeky clean with his image.
It would be a bit like me telling my wife how good looking i thought her sister was (you can think it BUT dont say it!) p.s i don't darling!

Attention seeking again, not impressed. Ellis needs to just get his head down and start banging the goals in for us. If he wants to idolise anyone then make it the likes of Messi and Ronaldo please. Not that lot over the road.

He obviously did it for attention as he knew people would bite over it. The lad has a good sense of humour and I'm all up for having a laugh etc but that is the sort of thing that is just damn right stupid IMO.

Having said all that, if people giving him stick is what motivates him and he bags one or two today then all will be forgiven. It is putting more pressure on himself though. This is why I have likened him to Balotelli in the past.

Deliberately winding up your own fans is just stupid though!! Sit on your hands or DC will confiscate your phone!! (and laptop, tablet, iwatch, smart tv.......)

Twitter to me is all about attention seeking hence why I hardly use it except for trying to find out up to date info.

If forest had played well last night and he praised them we would all be licking his ass for slating the 82ers. He obviously enjoyed the game. His tw*tter is not exclusive to gas heads and he should not have to protect his opinion to keep us happy.

His twitter obviously isnt exclusively gas heads (although prob 70% is) thus you are deliberately attention seeking on a friday night in and bored. Wind people up who dont pay your wages and havent stuck by you when he was transfer listed and nobody wanted him.

Personally I don't give a f*ck what he says as long as he performs on a Saturday. But he is a professional footballer and in the modern day social media usage is more or less a part of the job. I can completely understand why some fans might see it as disrespectful, and it's certainly unprofessional. I don't believe that he is stupid enough not to realise what people's reactions would be, so he's essentially mocking people who give up their wages to support him and watch him play. Really disappointing.

Really disappointing. Spot on. Just use your brain and dont praise the team we chant we hate from the terrace!! Been with us long enough, not rocket science!!!!!! I love the lads banter and togetherness in last 12months+ but i hate bristol sport ltd!!

So a professional footballer appreciates other professional footballers playing well, wow!
Some peoples reaction are just ridiculous imo, he likes football and is just tweeting that a couple of players played well, is he not allowed an honest opinion? It's not like he was saying how much he loves the sh**, just that kodiga(sp?) and wilbraham were good.
I see no problem with this at all and just further reinforces my view that some people take great enjoyment out of being offended by something and are always looking for a reason to kick up a fuss.
And to suggest he is mocking us by doing so is just as ridiculous in my personal opinion.

Appreciating is fair enough but don't have to write it on twitter. That is just asking for trouble.

If he were to say how much he envies them or how good city are I could understand it but he's just said that he thought two fellow pro's played well, honestly don't understand the fuss.
