Also respect for Lockyer for calling them out on their mischief. The boy has potential to go far with that attitude. Woosh

All he actually said was how well he thought Kodja and Freeman played. Some of our fans really need to grow the f**k up! Pathetic! Is this seriously what the op has got so wound up about.....? Dear oh dear

From what I've seen of Kodja he looks to be an excellent signing for 'em. considering they had £9M bids in for people in the summer, his £2M looks to be a excellent signing.

As Ellis was spat upon when he played at Ashton Gate, I think that it's actually a sign of maturity that he can see past the morons in the stands, and give a little bit of praise to couple of fellow professionals.

I think he has been silly. He can text the lads privately to tell them they've had a good game but posting it on Twitter is daft. The ted players wouldn't do it and neither would any of ours, apart from Ellis. Our fans defending the kid are obviously not as devoted as others, that's fine but praising the club's rivals publicly is daft. The consequences of him having a bad game today have multiplied alot! He should concentrate on bring a third rate footballer imo because once he's done with football, he could struggle. Does this apply to your desire for a red kit for Rovers?

A red kit with a Rovers badge is a Rovers kit. If people choose to wear red clothing to our games then yeah, I guess you could challenge that.

Not a bad thread this. We are almost debating a semi sensitive subject without it turning to personal insults. Well done everyone.

I have supported Rovers since 1953, missing very few home games (never been much of one for away games - used to watch every reserve game at Eastville, too). But, guess what, I am ashamed to admit that I have never hated Bristol City or Bristol City supporters. Reading this thread, it is obvious that there is something wrong with me (and a few others) in not hating their fellow men who have the temerity to support a different club to the one I support. Yes, Ellis was obviously stupid in posting what he did on Twitter. Come to think of it, he's stupid to post anything on Twitter. Come to think of it, anyone has to be stupid to post anything on Twitter. Come to think of it, you have to be pretty simple to bother to read anything on Twitter - I think. Guess what? I don't do Twitter.

I dont see a problem with this. Hes prob got mates who play there. Also even after games like england v wales they will see eachother after and have drinks etc. England v australia after the cricket went out and had drinks. He said they played well, he didnt exactly put a pic up of him wearing their scummy shirt. Get some perspective on life. He needs a life outside rovers.

Shock horror I have even heard managers say publically even on TV that the opposition played well. Exactly. Didn't the Mansfield manager say that after the game yesterday..................................

Don't despair about it for goodness sake. How bloody dare you what an absolute joke of a comment. My next door neighbour has been crying since about 5 o'clock last night when I assumed he'd just found out what Ellis had tweeted, turns out he's a Mansfield supporter ( my neighbour, not Ellis!)

probably, what did I miss? I think Lockyer and Brown were in on the joke, rather than condemning them!
