I have a feeling that some positive news is due soon on the UWE stadium.
Whether it's plan A, the fabled plan B, or outside investement/buyers - we are close to knowing what path this is taking.
I might be stating the obvious, and I'm certainly not "In The Know" - but I just feel the best thing that has happened to this club for years is about to happen.
UTG!

Just knowing which way our future lies will be an improvement and let the club move forward in an appropriate direction. This not knowing is the worst part

Newish I guess. I've read talk of people being negative but this is the first time I've properly witnessed it.

If we win the court case it will still have many legal hurdles left. I think we are a lon way off an outcome

Mods. Please move this thread to the appropriate section. Stadium Matters may be? Appreciate what you're saying but I didn't post there because that place looks like a thread graveyard.

Appreciate what you're saying but I didn't post there because that place looks like a thread graveyard. Much like our attempt to build a new stadium. Look, you never know - we could get there. Nothing this big is going to be easy. I bet NH didn't make his money by giving up at the 1st or even 100th attempt. It's going to take lots of bloody minded determination to get there. There have been hurdles and there will be more - even if the club is gifted £50m it won't be straighforward. But only when we stop trying will it be over - and we haven't given up yet. UTG!

No good feeling at all. If we lost the court case before, why would the appeal be successful?

How much money and time has been wasted trying? Other clubs seem to be able to get on with things. FGR will have built 2 new grounds before we build 1!

It would be almost finished now if we'd had a watertight contract.
Happy New Year everyone.

Wow - never realised all hope was lost! When I was six I had loads of hope. Every time I picked up the evening post and saw the latest artists impression of our new stadium I'd get all excited and imagine how great it would be. Over years I've come to realize that there's no point in taking any notice until it actually starts to be built because it's probably just going to be a let down and won't happen. It's a bit like watching England in the World Cup / euros, there's not much point in getting excited because there isn't much to get excited about.
