We have over achieved in my expectations of the season, thought we would challenge next year. I would take any play off place now, happy with Gaffney being signed but not sure on Lennie and Kieran Fallon. I assume you mean Liam

I think now it is clear there are 5 teams in league 2 better than us. Northampton, Plymouth, Oxford, Portsmouth and Accrington.
Two of them have done the double over us now - but if you look at the table the real indicators (apart from points) are GD and games lost. These 5 stand apart and above everyone else, and we are just one of a chasing pack.
I predict we'll finish 6th behind those 5, as I think we are the best of the chasing pack - but it's close.

It does appear as if the quality in League 2 is much higher than it used to be. Hence why the gas are having an exceptional season all things considered.

No. Forgetting current form, and just looking a fixtures 3rd place is ours to throw away. 4th would be disapointing and we could head into play offs on a downer.

Accrington look the main threat at present and they have 3 tough looking fixtures out of the next 4, if we can open up a bigger gap to 4th once they are played we could well finish 3rd. I'd see like to see us bring in a RW and/or a CM if Mansell's joining SS & LL on the side lines for any length of time.

Looking at our fixtures it is in our hands. Get easter (the holiday) out of the way and be in the autos still it should be ours to lose. All winable games

I agree topper I think we should strengthen in those areas if manse, sincs and Lawrence are going to be out.

Please remember when we were last in this position we got in Robert Wollaston and Jordan Stewart and the wheels came off lets go with what we ve got, we have momentum and you look at the last five games we have amassed 15 points and the muff 1, DC has done a great job and I sense we will finish third. Boom boom everyone sing Wael Wael!

Carlisle and Northampton I predict will be hard games and with the potential to drop points. The rest I can honestly see us winning. Still, 1 game at a time.

I think we've got a better chance of automatic because we're really good at going on a run and keeping consistency. If we miss out I think we will come unstuck in the play offs unfortunately. Just how I feel, but I do think we will finish 2nd or 3rd.

I think we need 6 wins out of the last 9 to go up automatically - perfectly doable. If we end up in the play-offs I fear we've been too weak against the top sides to get promotion.

I don't think previous encounters matter too much when it comes to playoffs. Just like if we'd easily beaten the others, it doesn't mean we can be more sure of beating them again.

Was beginning to believe in th impossible and an auto finish and Then of cours, us being Bristol Rovers, fate has decided to lend a hand.
"Oh no, WTF do you think you're doing? Here are 3 international call - up's for 3 of your players integral to your squad. Call your 2 affected fixtures off?. I don't think so guys, one of them is a loanee so doesn't make the accounting process I'm afraid"
Other clubs get body checks I know, and I really should shake off this victim outlook on behalf of the club, but just as the Shitsburys balls- up lost its significance, this comes along.
Football eh!

Football eh! A slight over reaction as Harrison & McBurnie are hardly integral to the squad particularly now Gaffney is back & Easter's actually showing a bit of form, Lockyer will be a big miss but he could have just as easily missed a game though injury or suspension. It's time the likes of Parkes & Fallon to step up, under Ward it would have been Santos & Harding!!!
