Harrold, about as useful as a penis flavoured lolly pop with real ginger pubes stuck to it during his last season.

Booing an ex player says more about those who boo than the ex player I don't do it myself but there are lots that do but surely most of it is for a laugh and shouldn't be taken too seriously? I remember going up to watch a game at old Trafford ( partners dad used to get free tickets through work) when Utd played Real Madrid, Ronaldo was given a standing ovation, which he deserves. But as soon as that whistle went he was booed as soon as he touched the ball and throughout the game. At the final whistle he had another standing ovation. It was all a bit of fun and you could tell Ronaldo enjoyed it too, people are just too sensitive these days so to say " booing an ex player says more about those who boo an ex player " is a bit harsh in my opinion.

Going by my own experiences. E.g. When Lambo came back to play against us the first time an idiot sat a few rows in front gave him dogs abuse ( with real venom in his expression not fun) he shouted things like "you never made it Lambert" the abuse he gave to Lambo is what I call harsh

In general though without the banter there would be no atmosphere it's just a shame a few always go too far! Any way UTG!!!!!!!!

Booing an ex player says more about those who boo than the ex player Depends on the ex player surely I see no reason to boo Matt, tried his best despite injury and clearly still has an affection for the club.

We will see the worst player I have ever seen in a Rovers shirt today, Andy Bond.

Out of all our ex players playing today. The only one that could potentially hurt us is LDV.

Fair point but we have kept much better strikers than Harold at bay this season , personally he doesn't worry me in the slightest. That being said if any will score it's bound to be him!

Just another O'Toole to me and Matty was worse, he was a badge kisser. I remember at FGR away in the play offs and Peter Parkes (Tom's Dad) said to us that his son had offers to stay in the league but Tom said he wanted to put it right and help get us back in the league...............Mildy must have felt the same but Harrold never and he deserted the sinking ship. He talks about being close to friends and family, again Parkes sacrificed his home town of Mansfield up North where his new born child is today and stayed with us. I never got the Harrold love in, just because he had a name the same as Jarman he got a special song. Of his last 9 starts at the Rovers we lost 8, on the one game we won it was 1-1 at Wycombe and he was subbed for Beardsley and then we went into win 2-1! I won't boo him tomorrow but I certainly won't clap him, he's getting no special treatment from me. Was going to say the same thing but i couldn't put it as good as you did, i will always remember him as one of the ones who got out rather than stay and put right the damage he had a hand in, but im glad he went and the others as look at us now, nah never cheer him always boo him, it would have course be a different story if he was laid of instead of walking ginger git

Maybe we didn't want him? After all, if too many of the sinking ship stayed on we would probably still be sinking! My view on Harrold is that he should have been one element of a 4 man strike force. A bit like gaffney now or blissett last season. But he didn't have the supporting players. Harrold is not and was never a world beater and we needed more than him to win games. I don't look back too unfavourably on him, he tried his best. I have more ill feeling for the management that season (not clarke), the managers in seasons before that, the board and the players who didn't seem to give a toss ie otoole
