Not sure what he would achieve at Leeds. Don't think a head coach from what I understand of Steve Evans would help him. Birmingham are probably more realistic with location etc but depends on the package and how much of a gamble they want to make with him?

The headline of that article is in correct. Tom Lockyer is our star man.

Certainly wouldn't hold it against him if he moved if just for more money. Would hope he does a Lambert though and at least signs a contract so we can get some money for him.
I don't think he'll get as much time to fit in at the clubs mentioned as he did here, but we'll see. Regardless of whether he stays or goes, he's been a key player in our back to back promotions.

I personally think he'll stay. Me too. there is always a risk going in to a higher league or a bigger club. More competition in a bigger club could mean a life in the reserves, and he might not cut it in another league. Remember Richard Walker? Plus lots of players play really well at one club and are quite sh**e at others. Steve White anyone?

The article suggests he's on £2500 a week. Does anyone think that's accurate? If so I wonder how it compares with the rest of the first team.

Wouldn't be surprised but I believe most of the first team are on "low" basic wages but have various bonus and add ons based on performance. If he has a goal bonus I'd expect him to be a top earner at the club!

I won't believe a word the evil post says until something actually happens.

Bristol City Evening Post is full of sh**.
This is the same paper that reported there was no take over.
People should know better by now than to read that shitehawk of a paper.
They get half their stories off here anyway.

Watching the interview with him after the game I would say he was gone already. Whether he will sit down with Darrel and be pursuaded to stay for another year I don't know.
Hopefully so.

I think he will sign for us just so we can get a decent price for him later in the season if he can cut it at the higher level

Old regurgitated story from a week ago. Agent talk. Puts him out there as bait. If he goes he goes, he owes us nothing, he's a huge part of our two promotions. I hope he stays, and I think he will suffer at some of those clubs, but money talks.

The evil post is a sh**head loving paper that takes great satisfaction from trying to P*** off our core support, that's why I stopped buying the rag. IMO I would Luv Matty to stay, although I would not blame him if he wanted to take a large signing fee and a large pay increase elsewhere, best of luck to him.UTG
