Nice effort mumbles I actually quite like this. I feel it would benefit from a bit more yellow like the current badge, maybe the "Bristol Rovers" in yellow, just to make it stand out a bit more, but very interesting idea doing the pirate ship instead of the pirate! I'm not knocking the design but how do you know it's a pirate ship ? Edit: a black silhouette of the Concorde airplane perhaps ? That ties pirates, quarters and more modern Bristol icons together Love the Concord idea, might have a go at that later

It's supposed to be a ghost ship, thought it looked more aggressive than most of the images I found but obviously not to everyone's taste

The queen Anne's revenge was the name of his flagship ,this he captured from the French who in turn got it from the British navy. The queen Anne's revenge was originally called HMS Concord. Pirates either hoisted a black flag or a red flag ,the black being most common. Black meant we are coming for you and will take your goods and kill you ,unless you surrender. Red just meant we are going to kill you and take your stuff. Even pirates preferred to not risk dying so hoped the surrender was chosen. The option of surrender was known as giving quarter ,which if refused meant no quarter given. Hence the quarters and pirates connection. All the different items on a flag usually meant how you would be killed if you didn't surrender !

Jed had a word wit yer art teacher an he said if yous think yous r gonna think that's acceptable as yer half term homework yous got tae be jokin! Does anyone find this "owww look at me i'm Scottish even in text!" even remotely funny?! Bore off you lady garden.

I don't understand how people can fight in a thread with Nobby's stupid face grinning like an idiot with a Dam fez on it in.
