I am surprised that this news hasn't even made it past one page in comments.
Back in the dark days of "A New Beginning" this rumour would have added at least 5 pages of speculation in the time since it surfaced. Aaaaah, those were the days!

I hope it's not just some news about the car park. We've decided not to have one. There will be enough bike racks for everyone

This thread is about UWE news being imminent. There is another thread about Steve Hamer's support for regional leagues. There is also a mention on there about UWE. Do keep up!

Potentially massive news and we are only managing two pages!! Hamer has stopped talking in dodgy metaphors and seems like there is something pretty substantial coming. Very little speculation here so far, will we require another planning application, what will the capacity be, have we purchased the land, naming rights, sale of mem etc.

Fingers crossed we've got a deal to purchase the land, hotel added to original stadium design, it will not be called UWE Stadium and some safe standing added behind one of the goals!

If he wasn't confident, he wouldn't have mentioned it on the radio, especially so close to the meeting. They said before they were meeting them all the time, so if they are going to make an announcement, we must be close to agreeing a deal. Back to back promotions, takeover, people on the board who now what they are doing, Dc signing a long term deal, if we start building the ground as well, what are people going to moan about? Things look like they really are going in the right direction.
