So in short the evil post editor has gone to someone on work experience and said can you expand on yesterday's news in no less than 150 words. Feel free to mention names of people who were obviously at the meeting Yeah, Hamer yesterday: "We are optimistic that there will be a favourable outcome. We are hopeful that an announcement will be made on Friday or early next week. Post's 'news' today: "an announcement to confirm a favourable agreement has been reached between both parties is imminent. "

Well, I'm going to refuse to cut my hair until they make an announcement. They'd better crack on because I have an appointment at the Hairdressers Monday morning.

I believe we have planning permission for 27,000 (iirc they said it could be expanded to that without new planning permission required) and I believe we can have pretty much any internal configuration we like. ie. the PP is essentially for the external dimensions and the attendance. Hopefully the final internal configuration will include a football pitch, though.

Wouldn't the cross country part of the event ruin the football pitch?

Plus should Wael decide to he could always seek pp for a large capacity stadium, safe in the knowledge if it's turned down then he can still build the 27K capacity stadium. Given Monday's the 13th lets hope they pull their fingers out and announce something today given how much bad luck we've had with our stadium plans so far. Although where's SH at present back in this country, or still in Portugal at the FL meeting?

Although where's SH at present back in this country, or still in Portugal at the FL meeting? The question is about finance. New builds exclude VAT. Refurbishment or extensions (eg Ashton Gate) are liable for VAT. It might be our interest to go for the larger capacity now. As I say this will be down to the financing. Also one other point - the orginal design allows upto 35000. This was before safe standing. I believe that we will see anouncement of about 28k including safe standing with an option to go to 35k.

Don't worry, that date applies for the more usual 3 years to begin construction. Our permission is for five years, so we have until January 2018 to begin work.

Be funny if it were true, though.
Kinda funny, in a sick sort of way.
