This is more important than Taylor imo. Let me see your other hand....the old distraction technique. Lovely. Pretty impressive that the Taylor fiasco and complete lack of any word on the UWE has been allowed to go on completely unchallenged by fans. If these 2 things had happened together under Higgs there would have been pages and pages of bile written. Funny old world. When is the Car park deadline?

Any bets on when the 'what has he done since taking over' thread appears?

I thought there was news when I saw that this thread had been bumped, what was the point Well, since people are focused on 1 player and the apparent importance of that. I thought I'd throw something more important into the fray...

Just noticed Chesterfield's address is 1866 Blah street, 1883 might be a nice touch for UWE if we're allowed whatever street number we like.
I like the fact that a lot of Newport fans refer to their ground as Dave

The Board have done lots of useful but temporary things at the Mem involving paint, scaffolding and portacabins, but the lack of any information on the new stadium is a worry. Both the lack of news and the lack of an explanation for the lack of news.
I don't think I'm actually allowed to say this because five months on and the honeymoon continues.
I still like to believe the UWE will happen, but I can't see any hint it'll be ready for the 2017-18 season (our first back in the Championship).

If Wael can't come to an agreement with the UWE over the freehold of the land there's not a lot he can do? All we can hope is some progress is still being made but, if it's not, we may well have to walk away from a deal if it doesn't appear to have the club's best interests at heart. Another factor is Brexit seems to be having a major effect on commercial property funds, not sure how that effects direct investment in commercial property but like the financial crisis & supermarkets profits collapsing in the past its not something anybody could forecast.

The last bit of the above post may explain the otherwise puzzling statement from Mr Hamer the day after the referendum. He perhaps knew immediately that the financial uncertainty of Brexit would affect the ability to raise finance for already risky property projects like new football stadiums.

I'm advised that SH has let it be known that it not appropriate for Radio Bristol and Evening Post from asking questions about UWE.

My advice to him is its not his place to try and control the local media and it's on OUR behalf as supporters who want answers/news. the landing gear is down remember ?

We all slag off both Radio Bristol and the Evening Post for being sh**. What's wrong with his request anyway? If there's nothing else to report it must vet annoying being asked all the time. We will be told when something has happened.
