My advice to him is its not his place to try and control the local media and it's on OUR behalf as supporters who want answers/news. the landing gear is down remember ? Why? We all slag off both Radio Bristol and the Evening Post for being sh**. What's wrong with his request anyway? If there's nothing else to report it must vet annoying being asked all the time. We will be told when something has happened. I don't slag of the local media so it's not all of us. What's wrong with asking a question ?

If the same question is being asked every day and there's nothing new to report I guess it gets a bit tedious.

I'm advised that SH has let it be known that it not appropriate for Radio Bristol and Evening Post from asking questions about UWE. Advised by who?

Remember, he/his family/one of his companies paid off the £3m loan and I also assume paid off Watola.
My concern lies elsewhere in the organisation.

I wasn't in anyway disrespecting Wael I was just pointing out we as a club have approached the UWE project professionally by employing an experienced team but still nothing appears to be moving!!

Just riddles and answering questions with questions. I'm bored by the whole saga now. The most important thing about the takeover is that our club is financially sound and about to go into a new football league season. Not so sure that would have been the case under the last regime.

I just used your message to make my own comment and was in no way intended to imply anything against any Gashead.

Agree. Lots to look forward to but the ground.... just think we have to be patient and trust the board. At least the football side looks good and moving forwards and with the professionals Wael has employed to oversee the ground I am sure something will happen. It is important to get it right as they have always said. I remember Oxford who are looking at relocating and a new ground because they didn't get the basics right 12 years ago with the Kassam. And Coventry and the Ricoh... They will never make a profit in that stadium and they have been shafted with their "new ground." Can you imagine us being in the same position? Yes, it's frustrating at the moment but these guys are businessmen and the plans once agreed will be good but the arguments over freehold /leasehold are crucial and must be right or in 10 years time we could all be wondering what a disaster. Have always thought the new owners biggest problem will be managing fans expectations and probably even more so now! UTG!

I just think the lack of news means things are not currently going well in the UWE negotiations.
Higgs put out numerous positive statements about the stadium when in fact things were crumbling to dust as he spoke. The new owners don't want to follow that ill-fated path, and so perhaps have decided to keep a lid on bad news. If they had positive things to say, why wouldn't they say them?

Another sleazy politician who doesn't want to be put on the spot with awkward questions. Censoring the media serves to only put the UWE out of site out of mind.

What's the problem? We've already heard the news that 'everybody wants to hear!'

If he came out and said for example, we're trying to buy the land and negotiating a deal will let you know as soon as something happens. We as fans would be ok with that. But we just get stupid sound bites 'the landing gear is down', not to mention the not so imminent, imminent explanation as to why the imminent news didn't happen. The toilet seat is down, the sh** log is on its way out ready to drop into the fan more like. Rant over

Talks take time. But the appointments we have made, show we are serious about building a stadium.

I think (hope) Hamer has banned the questioning because he's sick of answering with his stock answer of negotiations being in place etc etc landing gear down etc without actually having anything to say - which leads to criticism from fans. Also he got turned over a little bit by the EP with the last press release. It's a bit like Higgs with the negotiations to sell the club to the Al Qadi's
