If I was to offer him advice it would be.......are you happy at the moment ? Are you surrounded by people you enjoy being with at the moment ? Are you able to express your abilities at the moment ? Are you earning much more than the minimum wage ? if rovers asked their staff these kind of questions then we'd have nobody to sell us pints and pasties.... Ha ha very true...you mean to say the staff are not happy in their work ? Or we pay disgraceful wages ?

MOST of what keith chimp says does happen, not just necessarily when he says it will..... He is afterall a football man and a gas head. I dont know why he would be so sure about it if he didn't have inside info, especially about a subject we are so sensitive about....it certainly wouldn't get him any more twitter followers if it turned out he was b.sing us!

If he does leave I'd love it if he signed a two year deal with us first so we got a fee for him. I don't know the ins and outs of it but at the time it seemed like that's what lambert did for us and we did alright out of it. Sign up Matty hit the ground running score loads and get your move- we get a million quid and everyone's happy.

Why MT sign for us and effectively lose any chance of a Championship deal, as overnight he cost another club around twice as much to get his signature?

Dunno and like I said I don't know for sure that's what lambert did but Southampton bought him regardless and they were league 1 at the time I think and we were about a million quid better off too ?

I think the romantics like to think Lambo did that but probably the truth was we made him a decent offer and he accepted it before Southampton showed any interest in signing him, they then signed a proven Div 1 leading scorer rather than a player whose only played one league season..

I might be wrong but I think Lambert signed a 3 year contract with us shortly into his last full season with us , which was 2008/09, and then left at the very beginning of the next season, so there was almost a year between him signing the contract and leaving for Southampton.

Lambert signed a three year deal in September 2008 m.bristolpost.co.uk/lambert-signs-year-deal-stay-rovers/story-11241159-detail/story.html and joined Southampton in August 2009.

To be honest, if Matty stays then it would show a huge amount of loyalty. I think if I was in his position, I'd bugger off to Celtic if the rumours of their interest are correct. He'd have a genuine chance of success in the SPL, and with success would come idolisation from 50,000 every home game, playing in the Champions League and old firm derbies. That's pretty hard to turn down for a guy with one year's league 2 experience.

Whatever he has decided he should let the fans know getting a bit watered off with the waiting around has D C got someone lined up to replace him in case of a BR exit?

Although I'll be disappointed, if this is true then it's a good move for him imo. The next Andre Gray?
