Payne and Beautyman from Posh would be good additions. Payne has Championship experience where he did well but has fallen away of late, perfect DC signing really. Why Beautyman? He was non league until he went to Posh, and they obviously think he is not good enough, so why would he be good enough for us? Quite a few Posh fans rate him. They also let Erhun Oztumer join Walsall as well, another who i'd have recommended.

I don't expect us to spend much money at all and nowhere near the amount from earlier in this thread. I hope he would be looking at getting a keeper to help out because I think it's where we could be vulnerable. I would be surprised if it were Nicholls, didn't DC say something in a fans meeting last December about him going back to Wigan? I just seem to pick up the feeling that apart from getting a few youngsters through the trials, perhaps 1 or 2, DCs main business is done now that MT has signed. May be wrong but it's even a feeling coming from the forums that not much more business is expected. When you look at the numbers, we have a sizeable squad with quality. Whether it's good enough we will soon know. In DC I trust. UTG! Well that isn't what DC is saying p in his interview on the OS about Matty - still looking at bringing up to 3 player before the end of August. He usually delivers what he says. You are right, he does do what he says. I was presuming the triallists, on short term contracts and a goalie. But I don't expect him to spend much. Do you? UTG!

Looking forward to see new arrivals over teh next couple weeks, we definitely need additions. Particularly CM to help the current lads out, Mansell and Lawrence and to lesser extent Lines. Love to see someone who can break up play, carry the ball forward and create attacks... not many of those sort of player about on frees though.

No don't expect him to spend much Wareham Gas because he has the ability it seems to pull in good players totally out the blue that have been quality - 3 players seemingly on the scrapheap with other clubs is the way he works. Byron Moore or Luke James might be typical examples so yes I do think he will bring at least another 2 players in - possibly they are already here as trialists ?

That kind if player would be great, but every team is chasing one of those and Chelsea have just signed him from Leicester, Kante!

well byron moore has played nearly 300 league games mostly in league one?? what are you expecting us too sign? With the money we have something a bit more exciting than Port Vales rejects. The last Port Vale reject we signed ended up being a vital player in both promotion campaigns. Taylor wasn't considered good enough for Forest Green, we were the only FL club willing to take a punt on Bodin, and everyone at Torquay thought Mansell was past it. I couldn't care less whether the players we sign come from Boreham Wood or Barcelona, if DC's happy with them then I've got no complaints - some of the best decisions he's made in the last two years had people on here calling for him to be institutionalised at the time. At the end of the day, he wouldn't have agreed a new deal of the club hadn't offered him the means to grow the club even further. I'd normally be skeptical about signing the likes of Moore, but if DC thinks that bringing in players like him are the best use of his budget, then thats fine by me.

For me we still need a vitas type player, left back cover and goalkeeper, you might want to dance with Will puddly but don't think he would be my number one. Wonder whether Mickael Andersson would come back? If the Evil post is correct we will see Gos and Lawrence used in central midfield, Gos might be the answer, and Lawrence has great ability but doesn't have any pace. Never going to get top players in however I am happy with DC S recruitment, all look decent, Luke James was obviously Mattys replacement so if he carries on in the same vain, expect him to be used as an impact sub and then take over in January when Matty goes for about 750k.

To take a guess ,I would say DC is more likely to wait till almost last minute before any further signings. Firstly ,because he will then see where the team are weakest (in real competition) . Secondly ,there will be a lot of players who will realise they are not first choice at their current club but have a better chance at BRFC . Thirdly ,there may be conference players or below that shine out that could be seen as good future investments.

I cant comment on whether he will spend money on quality players because as I've said before it's not DCs way and I truly believe there is money there for him to spend if and when needed. That statement is for all OTIB readers living in the belief billionaire Wael has no money and reliant on conference cast offs - oh how many club directors would love a manager like DC who builds winning teams on rejected ability and not overpaid hasbeens !!! I agree though when everyone is panicking we need players in one pops - DC is way ahead of all of us on here !!

I somewhat agree. But don't see him making it in a two man midfield. I'd see him best centrally in a 'Chelsea' kind of system but don't believe it would suit the others as much.

From what I saw today albeit we were playing prem opposition and it was a friendly.
We need a cm who cb dictate a game with some creativity. And I think we also may need a keeper.
Also hopefully our first choice cbs are fit soon.
I would like to see Bodin back in midfield where he is most effective, can't understand leaving strikers on the bench. Start of the season like to see Taylor and James starting.

As far as posters saying we need a back up LB, unless Browner is injured it's hardly make or break if we sign one. Personnally I'd like to see us sign somebody who can hold the ball for us upfront, once Gaffers runs out of steam after 70/80 minutes, as Harrison simply can't keep hold of the ball.

Dont get me wrong Lines has been brilliant since he came back and he would start most games for me, but other than Lines we have already lost Mansell to injury and Lawrence is another ageing player which i think is better coming off the bench. As much as i like the beard for his effort against better opposition he seem to look out of place, hopefully he can have an injury free season and grow and step to league 1. If we really had to spend some money and only on one player then for me it would be 100% for 25/26 year old Midfielder. We have lots of players who try hard for the club and cant thank them enough for bring us back to back promotions and out of probably are darkest period, but think we need real quality to cement ourselves in league 1 and build for future pushes.

CM wise we have CL/LL/LM/SS/JE/SS/JG/OC, what signal will DC be sending to all them, apart from CL, if now he signs another CM who's clearly going to be in the starting 11? CF wise it's Gaffers plus Harrison, the latter never really looked like warranting a starting place, so basically just Gaffers in that position.

There's plenty of smaller players playing at the top level in the game. If a team consisted of big strong players with no creativity there wouldn't be a balance and it wouldn't be successful. I like Gosling and I think he'll do ok in league 1
