Wembley has become a nonentity, its not special any more partly because nearly every little club has played there, partly because its a soulless bowl with no history....if you like those kind of grounds that's fine ( I don't).
I don't know what you mean about 'what would like be like watching Rovers without our two Wembley appearances '....I still like watching Rovers but I have never watched them play at Wembley and unless they get in the FA cup final I am not interested...in fact that wouldn't be that great at the new Wembley any way.
Not sure how long you have been a gashead, but everytime Ive seen the gas play at wembley (last two times winning ) Its been one of the highlights of my year.May 2015 I couldn't speak for the next week as it meant some much to me wining there. Good that you have happy memories of it,everyone has their own point of view for me there is no way the Conference play off should be at Wembley,it should have been over 2 legs like the semis.

Nonsense, Wembley like the Mem had to be demolished plus what would like be like watching Rovers without our two Wembley appearances to look back on in the last decade. The rise of the Champions League is the main reason for the FA Cups demise. Have you even been to the new Wembley though? If not, you can't really pretend you know what it's like. And if you have, why go there for something yet not go when your beloved football team make a rare appearance there?!

If that happened over 15,000 Gasheads would have missed out witnessing a very special day/occasion . How is that a good thing?

Whether you like the new Wembley or not, as you have pointed out...to watch your own team perform and be victorious at the national stadium is what it's all about! Wembley wouldn't justify the price tag if it was only used for FA cup finals.

Surely progressing in these competitions offers a lovely cash bonus also... seems a lot of people are skating over that...

I really don't get this post. Having a day out at Wembley is about the best that every little club is ever going to get. Why would you not want to watch football in a state of the art stadium? Unfortunately for you, by having this mentality you've missed out on some of the best moments in our recent history. It's a shame as I couldn't imagine going through the highs and lows of a long season to then miss out on experiencing the finale when it all falls into place and makes it all worth it! Moments like Igoe running the length of the pitch to seal it in stoppage time and Mansell tucking that penalty into the top corner is what football is all about! Out of curiosity, will you attend games at the "soulless bowl" UWE, if/when we get there?

I don't feel like I have missed out on anything,I have seen Rovers games that were very important for the club.
No I wont be attending any games at the UWE stadium.

Why? I think that not being able to see that others have different ideas is a bit narrow minded.

So you only watch matches that aren't being played at modern stadiums?

Not really,I have been to Rovers games at modern stadiums and I find them dull, I know Scunthorpe isn't that new but it was a dull day out.
