There is a twist to this isn't there? Have you lost your sight or something..? Not yet,but I did listen to the Play off final on Radio Bristol. That would explain our debate about the macron stadium a few weeks ago , got to give you credit even if I don't agree you have mentioned before that you don't like modern stadia

I only went to share the travel costs with our car load but I have said that I wont be doing any more of the newer grounds this season, but I am up for a few of the older ones. I know that my view is a minority one and that most people who go to matches now like the newer stadiums, sadly though I believe that going to matches will die out as a lot more young people seem to go to sports bars and watch games on tv now,I don't know what the average age of supporters at matches is but within a few years numbers will drop off massively,I don't just mean Rovers but all league clubs.

The only thing the old Wembley had going for it was the two domed towers at the main entrance. I did not go there when there was standing so cant comment on that but went a few times with rovers and England playing when seated. Poor facilities and not particularly good views of the play. The seating layouts are more economical on modern stadia and a bowl does reduce wind a little ,its better if a club can make a stadium more unique and stand out so people recognise it as a certain clubs ground without the need to have the club name in the seats. Bristol sport have a more unique ground with their one large stand and the atyeo stand that's off line so it appears a section of fans look straight forward into the side of the old dolman stand. Those things would never be designed in advance if you built a stadium from scratch. It's the bizare that makes it unique. The mem is probably one of the world's most unique football stadiums ! :-D

Yea 3 home games in 7 days will reduce the attendence of a cup game AND its all ticket AND its on sky However with trolls an LL returning and it being a severnside derby, could be pleasantly surprised and only £10 👍 When you say LL are you saying Lennie is back too ? Got to admit I don't really read much about other clubs but I thought Lennie had retired I thought i read cardiff had taken him on in a consultancy role??

If we win we have Chelsea away and City have Scunthopre away.
If we lose, City have Chelsea away and Cardiff have Scunthorpe away.

Just imagine if it was the other way around..... If we win, The 82ers get Chelsea and we get Scunthorpe. Would we want Cardiff to win? Lol.

I agree that old stadia generally produce a better atmosphere. If it wasn't for the fact that we need the UWE to take the club forward I'd rather stay at the Mem. Fratton parks one of my favourites. If only we could do the Mem up increase it to 20+ thousand and keep some terracing, that would be my idea scenario but it's not going to happen.
