Was looking forward to going to the rearranged effort but they've got no chance now. Can only hope we double the away ticket prices for their return to the Mem later in the season. I don't get the logic of this, we'd be punishing their fans for a decision which was nothing to do with them, and which they are also complaining about. For the first time in my life I actually find myself feeling something other than contempt for Swindle fans. This is going to make them look very silly and the overwhelming majority seem just as outraged as we are. Imagine having that horrible cockney weasel as your owner...

Part of watching a game is the final whistle....customers have paid to watch a minimum of 90 minutes . This was not provided. If you bought a TV and got it home to find all the parts were there bar a screen you would complain...if the answer you got was ...oh it was raining that day so we couldn't fit the screen sorry......you can come back and buy another TV though for the same price....this one'might' be the complete product. People would not accept this. Swindon town like any club are responsible for their pitch ,so if it is the pitch that stops the game it is Swindon's fault. As a customer you do not have any empathy as to whether stfc can afford better pitch drainage or not ,or covers or water removing equipment or a fully roofed stadium. As a customer you are paying for a specific product..a 90 minute football match. If Swindon's owners do not honour free access to those who wish to spend more money and time travelling then I suggest BRFC fans do not go to the game ,don't give their owner twice the money. Of course if stfc don't get the ticket sales they won't have to pay so much police charges....so BRFC fans should let it be known thousands will be travelling but not going in the ground...so stfc have to pay the police costs.......

I can't see any court of law would hold Swindon liable for what basically was an "act of god" although you'd have thought there were some rules would be laid down by the FA where fans who attend the first match get some reduction, or free entry, to the the rearranged game, not just leave it to each club to decide. After all this time I suddenly seeing Wycombe in a different light!

One of their fans has pointed out that arrangements for abandoned matches should be clearly stated in the club's charter, which apparently it isn't. He is in contact with the FSF about it.

I am really angry about this and the fact that my son and I were in the seated area has made no difference to how I feel. I am fed up with how the average fan is treated and would be fully prepared to turn up (peacefully) on the 20th and not go in and I live in Hertfordshire. If others are prepared to do this, I will too.

Pleased to hear DC say what he thought of the Swindon decision in no uncertain terms - would be good to have an official statement condemning what has happened from Rovers as well.

This will end up costing them money, I can see the gate being affected considerably.. people aren't happy.
£10 and £15 instead of £19 and £25 would of been fair.

Outrageous.
I got home drenched. Got out the car and before drying myself I gave my ticket stubs 10 minuets under the hair drier. Even the 82ers wouldn't pull this move. Simply a Disgrace.

Football fans are being mugged.
For £25 at the cinema you could have the latest blockbuster 3D imax experience sitting in pampered cushioned air conditioned luxury, as you sit back and watch the latest and best Hollywood has to offer. And throw in a hot dog, a drink, and some popcorn for the price.
At Swindon you get to stand in the rain to watch a B movie, and when they fail to show the end of the film they tell you you'll have to come back to the pit and pay again to see the end of the film.

I'd still choose the 2nd option everytime.

I appreciate costs but how can a freak of nature and less than an hour played warrant full cost for the replayed match. Swindon you are a disgrace, they receive double the money from our fantastic support! They are below Wycombe in my opinion now. Surely as a club we can appeal or question their ethics.... Sorry it has rubbed me up the wrong way especially as we all got soaked to the skin.. If we didn't have morons out to cause trouble - there wouldn't be a policing charge - blame the morons not Swindon Town FC

A Swindon fan here fed up with the way our chairman treats loyal fans.If he had any sense he will bring in half price tickets. Many fans in Swindon intend to boycott the game because they are fed up with lining Power's pockets with cash.He has banned the local paper from the ground and has called fans lunatics live on air. Please do not attend and give your hard earned cash to this individual

I was referring to another poster that was suggesting that if we turned up but didn't go in, Swindon would still have to cover Police costs but would lose the revenue of us paying on the night at the turnstiles.
