A Swindon fan here fed up with the way our chairman treats loyal fans.If he had any sense he will bring in half price tickets. Many fans in Swindon intend to boycott the game because they are fed up with lining Power's pockets with cash.He has banned the local paper from the ground and has called fans lunatics live on air. Please do not attend and give your hard earned cash to this individual never trusted him as far as I could throw him. hear him a lot on radio Wiltshire and don't like him. Sounds like an east end market trader out to squeeze the pips. how /why did he get involved in swindon? I only know his name because my best mate is a Canary and I remember him playing for them. he has no history with your club. (no wags please re the lack of Al-Qadi previous with us...)

Good gesture, but they're basically losing money in order to help us hand over more money to Swindon.

Fair play to the supporters club. Good gesture, shame Swindon are robbing bar stewards!

Good gesture, but they're basically losing money in order to help us hand over more money to Swindon. Agreed. Swindon had access to the same forecasts that everyone else did (act of God, maybe, but he gave shedloads of notice regarding his intentions via Netweather etc) and decided that watering the pitch before the game was a bright idea. Then when the inevitable happened, they gave fans a false sense of expectation by telling them to keep their ticket stubs - the outrage when they all realised they couldn't expect as much as a free hotdog for doing so was pretty inevitable too. Now Rovers are helping to clean up Swindon's mess and have volunteered to pay for the mop. Which is a sight more than Swindon are doing.

What he appears to be saying is that they made NO MONEY from the first match and will not make any money from the re-match. If that were the case Swindle would be in the sh** from the beginning of the season not around Christmas as they usually are!!
If he is a successful businessman he must know that his statement is utter rubbish. If he isn't no wonder their own fans are up in arms about the way they have been treated as well.

The lack of roof didn't make me feel that we were watching the game in a 'safe environment'

Police have confirmed Swindons bill is £14k, £2.50 for each non season ticket holder attending.
So, at current match day prices they make a tidy profit... twice ****'s

As the full price fiasco has obviously cheesed off some of the Swindon fans as well as Rovers, could we try and gain some additional support from Wiltshire?
I am sure that we must have quite a few fans who live there (or at least London based Gas who travel through the county). Maybe travelling Gas could go on the Swindon forum and offer a pay on the day Swindon fan a lift to the Mem for the Rochdale game to see how a decent club with morales is run?
There are several fans who in teh past just came to watch the Gas once and are now hooked. After being treated so badly by their own club, this could be a good way of helping them see the light (Gas light!)

I think everyone would be happy to pay a fiver each or something but to be profiting out of this situation is disgraceful.

Gasheads get ripped off once (if they are daft enough to go to the rearranged game) whereas Swindon fans have to put up with this sort of treatment all the time.
Well, here's one Gashead who would have gone to that game but refuses to pay full price again - I'm still drying out from Saturday.
Rovers offering free travel to the game is a fantastic gesture and shows Power up for what he is - a greedy thieving barsteward - unfortunately, I wont be able to take advantage of that because I don't live in Bristol. It may have been better if they'd offered a free pie and a pint in one of the club bars to anyone who can show their soggy ticket.

This to me is a blatant attempt to stop Rovers supporters going & hence give Swindle an advantage. Wonder if Rovers could charge their fans £100 each for the return fixture. No, its a blatant attempt to take advantage of loyal fans (both Swindon and Gasheads) who want to support their team every week. Power couldn't give a toss about home advantage - he just sees the pound signs. Well, there's £19 less coming his way as I wont be going. Half price yes, to cover their costs, full price, no way.

I appreciate costs but how can a freak of nature and less than an hour played warrant full cost for the replayed match. Swindon you are a disgrace, they receive double the money from our fantastic support! They are below Wycombe in my opinion now. Surely as a club we can appeal or question their ethics.... Sorry it has rubbed me up the wrong way especially as we all got soaked to the skin.. Swindon fan here and I have to say I'm quite shocked and angry that our club is charging the full amount to both sets of supporters and has caused outrage in local paper. Your support was fantastic as well as putting thousands in Mr Powers pocket and the decent thing would be to at least let the fans who stood on the Stratton bank in for free and if not all of you with ticket stubs as there was less than 60 minutes on the clock and failing that let you all in at a reduced cost. A little compassion would go along way and belive it or not there is alot of support and anger here and a lot of fans contacting the club on your behalf Thanks for the compliment Good to hear you are voicing your anger at the club. Best answer though is for Swindon and Rovers fans not to turn up.

Some have suggested attending but not buying anything in the ground, we found a good chip shop (Chinese run) just over the road from the ground. Quality food at a good price, £2.70 for a large battered sausage (Oi oi Nobbygas & Baggins) chips and a can of coke. Would recommend it as an alternate to the crap pies & overpriced beverages onsite.
The comments from DC were shown on sky sports news pages during the transfer window guff, even in his dark days Nick Higgs didn't treat supporters of ours & opposing clubs this poorly. To say he is running his club on a sustainable model whilst profiteering from his own fans is a disgrace, Mr Power you a are a liar and a fraud.

It's all about fairness and you guys as much as us deserve not to be ripped off wnd I'm afraid our lustrous leader is too thick skinned to care about anybody but himself. There's been hundred of angry messages posted in your defence of the conditions rovers fans has to endure on the Stratton bank and although we all know there is big policing cost on this occasion due to the exceptional conditions he could have at least reduced the cost of admission across the board as a,compromise and good will gesture. There is the other debate whether the club legally has to do anything because of the match being abandoned which falls on death ears at our wnd so ill let you guys decide on that one but either way I'm sure you will still turn up in your numbers again
