So "Roadman" is your real name then? Out of interest why did you delete your original post on the thread you'd started yourself? Not sure how getting free tickets is ripping somebody off, as I assume somebody at Swindle is happy to let you in for free as a favour. My name is Paul Colley, many on here know this, played for the forum team in the past, I'm no Banned word. Deleted what post? Pull it up, never intentionally, where has it gone? I thought threads stayed on the forum. I would have taken pleasure sitting with free tickets with your Gasheads. I help produce something for Swindon on their match day, just as I do for Man City, Liverpool and 14 other clubs, ask Ian Holtby when you see him next. You should stop assuming.

All joking aside , any chance of any free tickets ? Or is it now too late ??

OkeBourne, I asked for 4 being cheeky and said 2 would do and I got a no late this evening, ironic as they are overdue on account with us but a lot of clubs do this.
Should be ok for Millwall away if you fancy their home end? I can probably push for 2 Shef United as well.

Gaz, the only way to make it obvious to some people on this forum that you are joking, would be to start every post, " An Englishman, a Scotsman and an Italian go into a bar......" It's interesting how posts can be misinterpreted. I knew gaz was joking and he probably knows that I knew. My reply was also a joke, hence the fight in carpark bit... Yet that was missed.... Fair point.

As of 2pm yesterday we had sold about 350. I can't remember the exact number.

It's early days but given our current position there is a vital 3 points on offer tonight.
I completely understand the reasons of those who choose not to pay again and I'm watered off at having to do so. However, it's not the teams fault and they will lose out being backed by 300 instead of 3000.

That is pure delusion imo.

If we get a corner in front of us tonight and 400 are spurring the boys on it lifts them and the same when defending. People talk of the 12th man, well Rochdale had no one to really lift them when we were hammering away in the second half. Players don't want to let travelling fans down, I truly believe an away support helps a team.

Just paid for my 3 tickets and a shame TrueGas couldn't make it, was looking forward to meet him in person.
Around 350 sold and people are still buying now, they think we will take around 400 and with a roof over our heads we should make some good noise still.
For the record, I don't feel comfortable going, it doesn't sit right with me but I truly believe we will win this tonight and I look forward to participating in a few Lee Power songs 😂
Safe travels to the Gasheads going, seeing you up there Adam at the ticket office.

I fully understand the reasons why people aren't going out of principle having paid once already to see this game. What Swindle have done is... well, a Swindle. My problem with people staying away out of protest is the only team it really hurts is Bristol Rovers. Swindon will still benefit whatever happens, though maybe not by quite so much. It will be a double whammy if they take three points as well. One of the reason we do so well away is our fantastic support. I don't agree that it has no impact: I was there at Oxford last year too and I'm sure it gives the team a psychological boost. I can't go tonight but wish I could. This is a vital game. Win and we will be pushing for midtable, lose and we will remain struggling. It may be early days but past seasons have proven that a sometimes it is difficult to recover from a poor start to the season. I hope as many supporters as possible put aside their grudges and travel. I'm sure someone can come up with a nice little ditty Rovers can sing to shame the thieving scumbags responsible for this debacle.

Away teams have come here with naff all fans and won in the past. So I'm not really buying that. The point is, football is about the fans. If you annoy the fans as Power has done, then don't expect huge attendance - boycott or not. It will catch up with him in the end, not a fault of BRFC. No judgement on anybody going tonight, many won't have gone the first time or can afford the second time, but the fans not going tonight for whatever reason will have been at Bradford, and will go Sheffield United and/or Northampton.

However as has been highlighted above, we have no concrete evidence and waffle about 12th man etc is just a way to make fans feel more important. If supporters were that important the league tables would reflect with a correlation in attendances..

But the small clubs like Rochdale and Morecombe get used to playing in front of small away followings and their managers have to factor this in. With expectation comes pressure, increased wages as well, you only have to look at Blackpool on and off the pitch, their players must feel the empty terraces. I was at Twerton in 2,000 gates, as the fans came back the club and team started to rise again, fans do inspire. On a Tuesday night in the dark it mice be nice to be supported, if Linesy hears he's one of our own and it raises him 1% it's a job well done. (Reply for another poster, not Cents)

Knowing the reason why the Gas will have a smaller support tonight, could actually spear the players on and give a massive performance. We all know what Power has done is wrong. But this could turn out to be his biggest mistake. What will he say if the total crowd is below 6,000? What will he say when he gets a bill for having loads of extra police who wont be needed. Lets just hope the teams brings back 3 points and then stick 2 fingers up at Mr. Power!
