This I have got my tickets for under half price which is what I was willing to pay, a train/pub/footy tuesday is hard to pass up. But the small clubs like Rochdale and Morecombe get used to playing in front of small away followings and their managers have to factor this in. With expectation comes pressure, increased wages as well, you only have to look at Blackpool on and off the pitch, their players must feel the empty terraces. I was at Twerton in 2,000 gates, as the fans came back the club and team started to rise again, fans do inspire. On a Tuesday night in the dark it mice be nice to be supported, if Linesy hears he's one of our own and it raises him 1% it's a job well done. (Reply for another poster, not Cents) More great 'businessmen' in the game who don't understand supply and demand or their main demographic like Lee Power and every club will have to get used to smaller away followings won't they? EDIT: It's not a dig at you but its fairly obvious why the '12th man' won't be there tonight.

I fully understand the reasons why people aren't going out of principle having paid once already to see this game. What Swindle have done is... well, a Swindle. My problem with people staying away out of protest is the only team it really hurts is Bristol Rovers. Swindon will still benefit whatever happens, though maybe not by quite so much. It will be a double whammy if they take three points as well. One of the reason we do so well away is our fantastic support. I don't agree that it has no impact: I was there at Oxford last year too and I'm sure it gives the team a psychological boost. I can't go tonight but wish I could. This is a vital game. Win and we will be pushing for midtable, lose and we will remain struggling. It may be early days but past seasons have proven that a sometimes it is difficult to recover from a poor start to the season. I hope as many supporters as possible put aside their grudges and travel. I'm sure someone can come up with a nice little ditty Rovers can sing to shame the thieving scumbags responsible for this debacle. Spot on. A big following is good for the team, in my opinion. The players regularly talk about the crowd spurring them on, especially in away matches. This game will unfortunately leave a sour taste, unless we win against the odds.

For the ones who decide to go, next time something like this happens you will have no right to moan about it, you are the ones who will make these greedy people think it is alright to rip the fans off.

I completely understand why Gasheads still want to go - start of the season, close away game BUT PLEASE at least don't buy any booze, drink and food at the ground. Surely, you can survive until you get home !

I didn't mean it literally, I meant with the flow of things going against us - rearranged match, fans ripped off and not many travelling etc. However, I must admit I'm surprised to see we're favourites with the bookies. I would have priced it up the other way round, with Swindon about 6/4 and us about 7/4.

I was at the abandoned game, and Swindon completely outplayed us on the day. I don't see where the idea of us as favourites comes from.
I'm boycotting the game tonight though, as no refund or free/reduced priced ticket offer is well out of order. They owe me 30 minutes of football as far as I'm concerned.

If you're going to call me an idiot then please at least make sure you use the right "you're", otherwise you could look the idiot. 😉 What?! I am looking forward to going. Most of our fans have made our point for me. We are going to be taking about 1/6th of the last attendance at best! I haven't been to the last 3 games. Bring it on!
