It is indeed Almondsbury Parish Council. My apologies.
I'm not sure, but isn't the case officer who will decide this, the same one who put through our stadium application?

Almondsbury district council have lodged an objection to the training ground on the basis of spoiling local residents quality of life. It is thought to be Highly unlikely to make a difference I think you mean Almondsbury Parish Council - think they have been a thorn in the side of quite a few Sports Clubs over the years including Almondsbury FC & Hallen FC/CC Would that be the same Almondsbury Parish Council that sold some land for housing some years ago.....

Do the local people reside on the motorway?

WHat a bunch of absolute tits. Quality of life? Some blokes kicking a ball and running around a field? p**s off you absolute belters! You forgot the sky cameras that will be there every transfer deadline. They aren't going to be choppered in, unlike our new multi trillion pound signings. I guess that would cause a few flowers to perish with the down draft!!!

I like the other residents objection: Comment: Distraction for the M5/M4 motorway users particularly during the hours of darkness or inclement weather when the site will be using flood lights It's not like the GFA pitches don't have flood lights right on the M5!! So everyone who lives in view of the M32 should have their lights off at night? Some people are unbelievable with the crap they come out it.

If it had been tennis they'd have offered to pay the electric bill.

Let's hope he doesn't live in Almondsbury then! I guess what we need to be careful off is not making a big fuss about nothing, and as the other poster says just let planning run its own course.

Really, if you were worried about the space around your house being developed, you couldn't really wish for something better than a sports training ground. At least then you know there will be green fields there for the foreseeable future. Totally agree, though did anyone see that programme about Notts Forest Training ground now that does affect quality of peoples lives ! Yes saw that and it was bloody ridiculous bordering onto the backs of peoples gardens with the obvious light pollution. One of the old boys on there made me laugh keeping all the footballs.

Could be quite profitable, Forest certainly weren't portrayed as good neighbours !

Is Hortham part of Almonsbury? And come on, it's not like it's in the middle of the village is it? It's on some country lane with about 4 houses near it!

Is Hortham part of Almonsbury? And come on, it's not like it's in the middle of the village is it? It's on some country lane with about 4 houses near it! Trouble is Carstairs owns one of them which he uses as a retreat for Green Party activists when they lose a case. Imagine how many have been living there since they had the war memorial case thrown out. However, we must be community minded. When we leave the Mem, we can build a helipad on the site. That will relieve the residents in Hortham Lane, and Carstairs can collect helicopter numbers as he will hear all the landings from his back window.🚡🚡🚡🇯🇴🇯🇴🇯🇴

They have zero power and next to zero influence. I sat on Sodbury Town Council for 4 years and South Glos rarely took any notice of what we said.

The village was tiny but had a mass of new houses built in recent years. Not sure how opposed that was. Site in question is between new houses and motorway so makes no difference to the original residents. I used to live in a house that was right next to a sports/school field. Believe me a few people kicking a ball about is much better than a view of houses and probably quieter. A few blokes kicking a ball or a few hundred residents just being noisy going about their daily business
