TBF any footballer that signs a 6 month contract finishing in FEB would need their head seeing to. I expect his contract was back dated to finish in Jan, so he was available in the transfer window if he needed that option. I think free agents are still able to sign outside the transfer window though aren't they? www.bbc.co.uk/sport/37308159Yes they are but we need a keeper in Jan not Feb.

Although why would Logan leave Rochdale as if he's doing well won't they offer to extend his contract, if he's not do we really want him back anyway?

Can you honestly see us paying any transfer fees unless we sell MT for a decent fee?

I honestly don't know Topper, I don't want to see any more lightweight premiership youth players though so that only leaves paying for quality or taking a chance at upcoming L1/2/conference players who wont come cheap either.

dc has done a fantastic job with free transfers and 1 year contracts but its become obvious we need a bit of quality to get us through the league 1 season. over to you wael and dc,it will be interesting to see what happens in the notoriously difficult january window.

Until the UWE is built I can't see we ever going to spend big transfer fees unless we sell a player for big money but who is paying big transfer fees in Div 1 anyway?

Anyone else get the feeling we're about to break our transfer record?

If nobody leaves then Keeper (main priority) we can't get silly with numbers but left back, centre back, left midfield, right midfield, striker, forward can all be looked at IMO! I think after keeper the defence will be on dc's priority list and a then a striker! If we lose MT then we will need 2 strikers to compete and I hope we can get all the signings we need over the line in time or the second half of the season could be a very long one indeed! UTG!

Any scouts watching MT at the moment wouldn't be that impressed as he has gone off the boil to say the least! Perhaps as the guy said on the radio phone in after the Shrews match "Matty Taylor looked like a player who has his next club lined up and is going through the motions" personally if this was the case I don't think DC would have him in the squad!

Maybe he knows something that has made him go off the boil! I agree! Swansea have been heavily liked and at a recent xmas do a chap from Swansea confirmed their strong interest and that a bid would be made in January but they were not the only interested club! Brighton have also been linked with him! Wait and see but we need to be on the ball in the market for sure!

People say Matty has gone off the boil but even at his peak he has often had a tendency in games to be a bit lazy but then come up with the goods when it matters.
I'm not sure I buy all this he is off in January so is not trying. Is it down to him or is it the fact the whole team is playing so poorly and we aren't creating enough chances for him? This is the thing when things aren't going our way, everyone is under the microscope all of a sudden where they wouldn't usually be.

The thing is people want proven class and that is not easy to find unless you want to spend big. I personally don't want to see us go down that road. I would like a bit of investment in the team but there is no need to go silly. We can go progress with just a little investment, there is also no rush to go up the leagues. I think we need to find the spine of the team first going forward with a couple of experienced heads in goal cb and cm and then hopefully we can push on and in the summer take a couple of risks with young, lower league signings to add to what we have.

Anyone else get the feeling we're about to break our transfer record? I believe Andy Tilson is still our record transfer fee at £375,000. If we lose MT we will have to break this to replace him surely!?
