Clinical finishing by 'Wall but made easier by sloppy defending which was made harder by the red card.

did Harrison try to play today or just turn up. Get rid of him he is no team man, just a prat when things don't go right for him, we cant carry him much longer.

The tw@t of a ref clearly gets a yellow card out of his right pocket then changes it to a red card from his left pocket when surrounded by 3 Millwall players, although I thought surrounding the ref was outlawed this season, hence why MT got a yellow for running to the linesman at the Mem? Leads reaction says it all really.
It's a pity Roberts wasn't on the bench as we ended up with two left footed CB's and Locks at RB once MM replaced Colkett!

Comment on the Millwall forum: "If they had not gone down to 10 men would have been one of those classic 4-3 type games imo. Instead we simply picked them off in clinical style. Surprised they only brought 1,018 fans. Yes, better than most...but they have just come up and are doing well and easy to get to London from Bristol. I am sure they used to have really good away support. And singing 'Bubbles' was a bit tin pot. Decent lot though...fancy having to live alongside Bristol City!" After viewing the "incident" I could not say the ref was wrong with his decision, if it was one of players being fouled, we would have been screaming blue murder.
What is clear is that our defence was a complete shambles and were it not for Roos, we would have lost by a much greater score.

Singing "I'm forever blowing bubbles" to remind them of their most hated enemy in the whole world.

On a saturday when most people are already Xmas shopping. And when we're having 2 games a week almost every week.

Fair play, that was a great assist from Lines! Best through ball he's played all season. TBF it was a shocking hospital ball from hartley. Lines panicked. Looks like most of the defence was panicking. I was a fan of Macca in Conf, and mostly in Lge 2, and especially when man marking a big man, but suspect he won't be getting many games at this level. And him and hartley is a dodgy combination. Why wasn't Roberts on the bench? he can cover both full back positions. I guess James Clarke is injured?

What is clear is that our defence was a complete shambles and were it not for Roos, we would have lost by a much greater score. I was at the game and had a clear view of the incident. It really didn't look like a foul to me and I think the weak referee got coerced into the red card by the Milwall players. Having now been able to watch it back I'm even more certain it wasn't a sending off offence and I hope the club appeal the sending off. Im afraid it was just one of those things that happens and even if the red is rescinded it won't alter the result. wael was there in the away end and made my lads day by speaking to him after the game. Lack of clean sheets plus today shows it needs a bit more thought. Is generally our strength under DC but looks like getting unpicked a bit at this level. Who'd have thunk it!

Think 4-0 was harsh, but why do we seem to struggle when we are playing against 10 men? do you honestly want anyone to answer that?

New rules were introduced to prevent "tripe jeopardy" (i.e. sending off, penalty and subsequent ban). If the foul had been in the box then it would have been a penalty but only a yellow card. As it was outside it was a red card but not a penalty. In the Chelsea game the red card wasn't awarded due to the fact that the penalty was. That's how I understand it anyway, but it's not like I've examined that particular rule in depth. I don't think I can stomach any more tripe jeopardy You are totally right though Jon [hope the little 'un is ok BTW]. I didn't know it had changed until after Chelsea and trying to work out why Pedro hadn't been sent off. It sort of makes sense [not being punished 3 times] but as Fargas said it now almost means a defender (not often the brightest of the bunch) has to quickly decide to foul in the area and give away a pen but stay on the pitch, or foul outside the box to prevent a pen, but get a red. You can imagine the later being down later in a game, which rather makes a mockery of the rules as that would be a cynic professional foul that isn't hugely punished.

Heaviest defeat under DC I believe and the first time we've conceded 4 in an away game under his leadership? One of those days when you just have to say sh** happened.

I would rather we went defensive today after the sending off and hope to sneak a draw. I know this is not DC's way but goal difference matters. You can't go gung ho! under every circumstance. well dc brought a defender on and took mcchrystal off which obviously was a defensive move but it was undone by millwall scoring just after. we were never gung-ho today imo although at 1-0 down we did take the game to them.
