Comment on the Millwall forum: "If they had not gone down to 10 men would have been one of those classic 4-3 type games imo. Instead we simply picked them off in clinical style. Surprised they only brought 1,018 fans. Yes, better than most...but they have just come up and are doing well and easy to get to London from Bristol. I am sure they used to have really good away support. And singing 'Bubbles' was a bit tin pot. Decent lot though...fancy having to live alongside Bristol City!" On a saturday when most people are already Xmas shopping. And when we're having 2 games a week almost every week. Wonder if they'll bring a thousand to the Men.....or even a hundred.

went to the game today and after the sending off and the goal we did have a long period of possession and some pressure and half chances but we didnt defend well and sometimes overplayed out of the back which got us into trouble. i thought boateng and sinclair played very well in midfield and it was a blow when hiram got an injury and was subed. harrison worked very hard throughout in my view despite being mostly alone up front as taylor was helping the midfield. millwall looked decent but a very early red card and sloopy defending made things difficult

Just watched that penalty decision about 9 times. Never ever a sending off, both men looking at the ball and minimal contact if any at all for me. Joke decision...

Having slept on it I have realised this could be our Newport County moment from last season. They were a poor side - bottom or next to I seem to recall, yet they beat us 4 - 1 at home.
That game included an own goal, similar to Linesy's suicide pass, and we didn't have a man sent off. After that disaster we improved no end and the rest, as they say, is history.
DC will have learned a lot from yesterday and will hopefully put that knowledge to good use.

Yes, bad day a the office, poor but not a disaster we are still 5th. Let's move on to Crawley match and win it however we do it. Let's hope DC learnt something from today and remember that Millwall are a decent team so no real disgrace in losing to them with 10 men for the whole of the match. I expect to get the red card overturned on appeal not that it will help us now. UTG!

We were already struggling before that game, this game is a just a complete one off due to the ridiculous sending off. Rather than Leads being banned for a game the ref should serve one, for ruining a potentially v. good game of football.

Sending off was never a red and I think the ref had the yellow out until the Millwall players surrounded him. Weak minded ref! Roos had a cracking game. 1st goal I'd like to have seen him hold onto that instead of parry it. 2nd goal they had two defenders by their shirts. Should have been our free kick. Short memory so can't remember the 3rd but fourth just sloppy and probably down to frustration/tiredness. For some reason this year were overly sloppy with the ball at times. We're shipping too many goals and in my opinion I would like to see a different gk come in January. Roos just doesn't seem to fit right. Too many mistakes/bad decisions. We need to find our rythym again, seems like we've had the wind blown out of our sails a bit. DC needs to get them back playing the way we have been. That said 5th place in league 1. I'll take that!

The Millwall Player either, simply fell over or dived. He should take care crossing the roads in the Capital having such little control of his legs. Not a foul at all from Leadbitter,so not a sending off. Our defence remains a concern with crosses raining in and token challenges. DC being kind describing our defending as "a bit soft", it bordered on being unfit for purpose looking at the highlights and needs urgent attention if we are to progress.

I can live with a mistake, we're all human, but if he changed his mind because he was being hassled and bullied by the Milwall players then that is unforgivable and should earn a sanction. I would like him to give an explantation for his decision, but of course they are the untouchables and above explaining themselves to the unimportant paying customer. I only hope that, if DC does appeal, he admits his mistake and rescinds his red.

Looking at it again the ref has given a decision based on what he has seen, I think the Millwall player has conned him, but he has to decide on what he has seen and he has decided that their player was denied a goal scoring oppertunity due to a foul outside the box which is a straight red. My view for what it's worth is that the Millwall player Craig I think it is, knows the rule and has told the ref that it is a red hence the changing cards

Evening. I was the Millwall fan who wrote that comment re the away following. I came on here to see the opposition opinion & saw I had been quouted.
It pricked my interest enough to join. This is because I found it interesting that you thought I was implying it was 'poor' - I wasn't. I just thought you may have brought even more, because I have always considered Bristol Rovers a well- supported and passionately followed club; and because of the circumstances - newly promoted and flying high. And I only meant by a few hundred more anyway.
It just shows how easily things get lost in translation on text.

I think 1,018 was pretty decent, we'll take nearly double that to Charlton in Jan, think it was the whole 'Millwall' factor which made some not travel, agree with you on us singing bubbles, extremely cringeworthy

Millwall fan here.
I thought I would give my views on Bristol Rovers having watched the Millwall match.
Your team was the best that I have seen at the Den this season, whilst they were stretched when down to 10 men they continued to press and pushed Millwall all the way. To an extent the score was irrelevant due to the sending off but overall your team did you proud. The one thing I did like was that you had the players to counter attack with speed and the threat existed throughout the match. A proper club, with proper supporters, and players and a team to be proud of, can't be bad.
Good luck for the rest of the season

Thanks for that I thought your team were decent as well. On that showing I would expect you to be in the promotion mix and look forward to the home fixture.

Wonder if they'll bring a thousand to the Men.....or even a hundred. We always average around 8-12% of our home support on the road - which is very good given we have an enforced members only and all ticket scheme. And as for the game at the Memorial Ground - I would hope we would bring whatever you can give us...as it is the last game of the season & hopefully has something on it!

If you don't like The New Den, we don't like The Memorial Ground.

If you don't like The New Den, we don't like The Memorial Ground. Is that not its official name? We have never played at the 'New' Den...so it isnt a case of like or dislike...more a case of accuracy.
